An exhaust gas heating assembly for an exhaust gas system of a combustion engine includes a heating unit housing which accommodates a flow of exhaust gas. A plurality of heating units are disposed in the heating unit housing and are elongate in the direction of a heating unit longitudinal axis (H). Each heating unit has first and second heating unit longitudinal end regions. The heating units with the first heating unit longitudinal end regions and the second heating unit longitudinal end regions are supported in relation to the heating unit housing via a support structure. At least one heating unit by way of the first heating unit longitudinal end region thereof or/and the second heating unit longitudinal end region thereof is supported on the support structure so as to be movable in the direction of the longitudinal axis (H).

Exhaust gas heating assembly

The present invention relates to an exhaust manifold for an internal combustion engine, in particular in a motor vehicle, comprising a housing from which a plurality of inlet pipes emanate, which, in the built-in state, lead to cylinders of the internal combustion engine, and comprising a flange, which is welded to the inlet pipes and which, in the built-in state, is screwed to the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine by means of a screw connection. The fatigue strength of the exhaust manifold can be improved by subdividing the flange into at least two partial flanges in a longitudinal direction of the exhaust manifold.

Exhaust manifold

A connection between two annular sections of two components of an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine that is installed in a motor vehicle. In an embodiment, the two components are coaxial to one another. The connection comprises an annular connecting element with a first ring section, and a second ring section concentric to the first ring section. The ring sections are axially connected to one another in a rigid fashion on the face side by means of a connecting region. The first ring section is rigidly connected to the annular section of the first component by means of a first connecting region spaced apart from the connecting region. The second ring section is rigidly connected to the annular section of the second component by means of a second connecting region spaced apart from the connecting region. The connection is characterized by a high fatigue strength under thermal stress.

Component connection

The present invention relates to a flange plate for connecting exhaust pipes to a combustion engine, with at least two connecting sockets integrally moulded on the flange plate, on each of which an exhaust pipe can be fastened, and with a plurality of through openings for fixing the flange plate to the combustion engine. Thermal expansion effects can be better compensated if at least one of the connecting sockets is formed in a connecting region, which is surrounded by a slit penetrating the flange plate, wherein the respective slit comprises at least one interruption and the respective connecting region in the region of the respective interruption is connected to the remaining flange plate.

Flange plate, flange connection and exhaust manifold

The invention relates to a device for fastening at least one component of an exhaust system to at least one member of a motor vehicle, including a component leg that is designed for rigid fastening to the at least one component of the exhaust system and one member leg that is designed for rigid fastening to the at least one member of the motor vehicle. A coupling body with or made of an elastomer is provided, the coupling body being connected on the one hand fixedly to the component leg and on the other hand being fixedly connected to the member leg.
