A probe carrier arrangement, especially for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a probe socket () provided at a probe carrier body (). The probe socket () has at least one insert-receiving opening () extending in a direction of an insert-receiving opening longitudinal axis (E). A probe carrier insert () is arranged in the insert-receiving opening (). The probe carrier insert () has at least one probe-receiving opening () extending in a direction of a probe-receiving opening longitudinal axis (S).

Probe carrier arrangement

A fastening device, fixing an exhaust manifold () on a cylinder head () of an internal combustion engine, has a contact surface () supported relative to a cylinder head contact surface (). A fastening edge area () has a wedge fastening flange area () with a fastening element support surface () inclined in relation to the contact surface () that has a wedge angle (W). A fastening element () is pressed against the fastening element support surface () with a fastening flange support surface () with a fastening bolt unit () supported in relation to the cylinder head (). The wedge angle (W) and a coefficient of static friction (&#x3bc;) of the frictional interaction of the fastening element () in relation to the exhaust manifold () is defined by: 0&#x3c;W&#x3c;2 tan(&#x3bc;), in which Wis the wedge angle, and &#x3bc; if the coefficient of static friction.

Fastening device for fixing an exhaust manifold on a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine

An air gap-insulated exhaust manifold () for a supercharged internal combustion engine (), preferably of a motor vehicle has an engine flange () fastening the exhaust manifold to an engine block () and a turbine flange () fastening the exhaust manifold to a turbine () of an exhaust gas turbocharger (). Two inner pipes () lead from an inlet opening, for exhaust gas, adjacent to the engine flange to an outlet opening (), for exhaust gas, adjacent to the turbine flange. An outer pipe () envelopes the two inner pipes, forming an air gap insulation (), and extends from the engine flange to the turbine flange. A separation partition () separates, in the interior space () of the outer pipe, two interior spaces (), in which one each of the two inner pipes is arranged. Reduced wear is achieved with the partition arranged loosely at the turbine flange.

Air gap-insulated exhaust manifold

A heat exchanger, for an exhaust gas system () of an internal combustion engine (), includes a thermoelectric module (), converting thermal energy into electrical energy, having a hot side () and a cold side (). A cooling pipe (), for a cooling fluid, is arranged on the cold side () and a heating pipe () for a heating fluid, is arranged on the hot side (). The cooling pipe () and the heating pipe () are stacked with the thermoelectric module () in a stacking direction () and form a stack (). The heat transfer within the stack () is improved with at least one of the pipes () being curved toward the thermoelectric module () at an outer pipe face () and with the thermoelectric module () curved toward the pipe () at an outer module face () facing the particular pipe ().
