A tank closure that includes a first tank closure member, a second tank closure member, and a bias member having a spring force to brace the second tank closure against the first tank closure member. The first tank closure member has a first stop member, while the second tank closure member has a second stop member. The second tank closure member is flexibly mounted in an axial direction relative to the first tank closure member, the second tank closure member. The second stop member, in a closed position of the tank closure, forms a mechanical stop relative to the first stop member to prevent axial movement of the second tank closure member relative to the first tank closure member against the spring force of the bias member.

Fuel filler cap

A closure system including a filler neck, a guide socket arranged inside the filler neck, a closure cap to be introduced between the filler neck and the guide socket and which is fastenable to the filler neck and an annular seal to be received in an annular groove of the closure cap and which is secured to an inner face of the filler neck. The annular seal is arranged between the filler neck and the guide socket such that a nozzle placed between the filler neck and the guide socket does not reach thereto.

Fuel cap

A filler device has a filler neck () and a closure cap () which has an engagement segment (). The engagement segment () and filler neck () have complementary engagement elements (), for example in order to form a threaded or bayonet connection. They can be brought, by movement of the closure cap () with respect to the filler neck (), from an initial position without engagement via an engagement path subsequent thereto into a final position, and vice versa. A locking device () which prevents the closure cap () from falling off by itself is arranged and configured so that it generates an elevated resistance to movement in a specific movement region of the closure cap (). The locking device () is arranged in such a way that it is effective at a distance from the final position.
