A disposable filter capsule for a filtration device comprises only one housing, which has an inflow connection for a fluid to be filtered and an outflow connection for filtrate. The disposable filter capsule also comprises at least two separate filter means, which are fixed in the housing and together with the housing form an inseparable structural unit. All the components of the disposable filter capsule consist of sterilizable, in particular gamma-sterilizable, materials.

A valve includes a longitudinally movable valve body that is arranged in the valve, wherein the valve housing has at least two guide grooves, with which auxiliary guide elements, arranged on the valve body, engage an exterior surface of the valve housing. The guide grooves of the valve housing are shaped such that they define a combined translatory and rotary movement path of the valve body with the aid of the auxiliary guide elements in order to open or close the valve.

A filter module () has a housing () formed from a plastic and a filter () made from a plastic is arranged in the housing (). The housing () is bonded adhesively to the filter () by an adhesive () via a first bonding surface () made from a first plastic and via a second bonding surface () made from a second plastic. The adhesive bonding of the first bonding surface () and the second bonding surface () is accomplished via an intermediate piece () with the bonding surfaces () made from a plastic that is identical to or different from the first plastic. At least one of the bonding surfaces () has been activated by plasma or corona pre-treatment prior to the adhesive bonding.

Filter module

The invention relates to a device for culturing cells in a bioreactor, the waste-air line of which leading out of the reactor interior comprises a waste-air filter having a sterile-filtration microfilter membrane, wherein at least one prefilter having a hydrophobic filter material is placed upstream of the waste-air filter toward the reactor interior.

A filter for the filtration of media, having a pleated, cylindrical filter element, which is located between a perforated, cylindrical backflow preventer and a perforated, cylindrical core, the filter element being arranged in pleated folds, a plurality of folds having a first fold height which is greater than the difference between the radius of the backflow preventer and the radius of the core and which, each being inclined in relation to a radial line by an angle of inclination, are directed away from the outer surface of the core, a plurality of folds being provided having at least one second shorter fold height, and the folds of the second shorter fold height being arranged adjacent, radially at the outside, to the backflow preventer and alternatingly adjacent to the folds of the first fold height.

Filter

An adapter is provided for fastening a filter element in a cylindrical receiving opening of a bottom part of a lower piece of a filter housing. The adapter has at least one seal arranged in a peripheral groove on the circumference of the adapter to permit fluid-tight separation of a non-filtrate chamber, which surrounds the external jacket of the filter and from which medium to be filtered can be delivered to the filter, from a filtrate chamber into which the filtrate can be introduced from the filter. The seal is connected by injection molding to a base surface of the peripheral groove and is at a distance from at least one side wall delimiting the base surface of the groove.

The invention relates to a filter module and an apparatus for the static filtration of liquids using filter cells having deep bed filter layers and using spacer layers. According to the invention the filter module has a stack of n filter cells and n+1 spacer layers for filtrate and at least one channel arranged in the interior of the filter module. In this case n is &#x2267;1. The filter cells consist of a draining spacer layer for feed liquid and deep bed filter layers which are arranged in a sandwichlike manner thereto and which are joined to one another at their circumference toward the at least one channel at the rim via a sealing compound and wherein the spacer layers for filtrate are furnished with the sealing compound at the rim on their external circumference. The invention can be used to remove substances from liquids, in particular for clarification and sterile filtration in the sectors of the foods industry, drinks industry, pharmaceuticals and chemicals industry, and also in the field of environmental engineering.

The invention concerns a device and method for monitoring the integrity of filtering installations consisting of a filter housing () designed to perform integrity tests and for filtration, equipped with a plurality of filter elements () and an electronic testing and monitoring unit () designed for monitoring and performing integrity tests, said filter elements () having each a storage element and a communicating part () being connected to the monitoring and testing unit arranged in the filtering housing, whereon data of said electronic storage elements can be read. The invention also concerns a method for monitoring the integrity of filter installations by means of a plurality of filter elements () in a filter housing () and of an electronic testing and monitoting unit designed to monitor and perform integrity tests, data stored by electronic storage elements () arranged on the filter elements () capable of being exchanged with the monitoring and testing unit, identification data and other data concerning the filter elements derived from the electronic storage elements () capable of being selected and of constituting the basis for integrity monitoring and testing.
