A blister pack configured to sealingly enclose at least one active member and product includes a backing having a first side and an opposing second side. Each of the first and second side is flat or planar. The blister pack can also include a cover having a first side and an opposing second side. At least a portion of the second side of the cover is adhered to the first side of the backing to form a sealed package for containing product. The cover can include at least one blister. Each blister can have a dome portion and a base portion. The base portion can surround the dome portion. The base portion can extend outwardly beyond the first side of the cover.

Blister packages containing active material and methods of making and using same

Puncture elements and methods for using the same are disclosed. The puncture elements according to the disclosed concept include a cutting edge or a sharp and are composed of a mineral loaded polymer. The minerals of the mineral loaded polymer include an active agent, such as a desiccant. Optionally, the puncture elements are used to puncture a cover (e.g., foil seal) of a package.

Cycloolefin polymer (COP) containers, including vials or syringes, having a scratch-resistant and anti-static coating on the external wall results in a reduction or prevention of static charge on the articles. The combination of an anti-scratch and anti-static coating results in the reduction of the attraction of charged particles to the container, leading to decreased particulate contamination while providing scratch resistance.

An entrained polymer includes a base polymer, an active agent, and a channeling agent. The active agent acts on, interacts or reacts with a selected material. The channeling agent is immiscible with the base polymer and is adapted to transmit a selected material through the entrained polymer at a faster rate than in solely the base polymer. The channeling agent is a water insoluble polymer.

This present invention concerns a cover layer that is impermeable to the active substances and/or a removable protective layer of a transdermal therapeutic system, comprising a thermoplastic film which either directly contains the absorbing agents and channel-forming agents or is coated with a polymer support (thermoplast) containing these substances. The polymer support can either be applied over the entire surface of the film or in patterns, directly during production. The thermoplastic film that is used and the polymer support can be made from either the same or different materials.

The invention relates to a patch-shaped object, for example a TTS, patch, sticker or label, where the object comprises or is formed by an adhesive layer and a cover foil covering the adhesive layer having the same surface dimensions. The object further comprises a peeling foil temporarily covering the oppositely opposed side of the adhesive layer where the peeling foil extends beyond the patch-shaped object on all sides to form a border, the border having two recesses disposed at a spacing apart from one another. The end points of a break line formed in the peeling foil and passing over the object joins into each of the recesses.
