In a method and apparatus for acquiring and reconstructing a four-dimensional dynamic magnetic resonance (MR) image data record, MR data are continuously acquired by radial scanning of an examination region along radial k-space lines, and a dynamic region of the examination region, in which said dynamic procedure is relevant, is determined, as well as a non-dynamic region, which is not relevant to the dynamic procedure. Static image data are reconstructed from all of the acquired MR data, and image data therein originating from the non-dynamic region are marked and are then not used for reconstructing a dynamic image data record for the dynamic region.

Method and device for controlling a magnetic resonance tomography system for magnetic resonance fingerprinting measurements

In a method and magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus for reducing artifacts in an image dataset reconstructed from MR raw data that were acquired by radial sampling using different coil elements, for each of at least some of the coil elements, exclusion information is determined that identify MR data from that coil element that are responsible for at least one artifact, by a comparison of a sensitivity map, which defines a spatial reception capability of that coil element, with at least one comparison dataset obtained from at least a portion of the MR data from that coil element. At least the MR data identified from the exclusion information are excluded from the reconstruction of the image dataset.

In a method and apparatus for determining the fat content of the liver of a patient using measured spectral magnetic resonance data, wherein a first contribution to the spectral magnetic resonance data is based on fat, a second contribution to the spectral magnetic resonance data is based on water and on a further substance, a frequency range that forms the basis of the spectral magnetic resonance data is subdivided at least into a first subrange and into a second subrange, the second contribution is approximated using the spectral magnetic resonance data from the second subrange. The first contribution is determined taking into account the spectral magnetic resonance data and the approximation of the second contribution. The fat content is determined on the basis of the first contribution.

Method and apparatus determining a fat content of a liver of a patient using measured spectral magnetic resonance data

For reduction of artifacts when acquiring magnetic resonance (MR) data using an MR apparatus, a SPAR pulse, which acts on spins in a first predetermined frequency range, and a saturation pulse, which acts on spins in a second predetermined frequency range, are radiated. A gradient for spatial encoding is activated at the same time as the saturation pulse, so that the saturation pulse acts on an edge region adjacent to the volume segment. The edge region borders an ellipsoidal useful volume of the scanner of the MR apparatus, in which the strength of the B0 field changes in terms of magnitude by no more than 30 ppm. Spoiler gradients are activated to destroy a transverse magnetization, before an RF excitation pulse, adjusted to the SPAIR pulse, is radiated. MR data are acquired after the SPAIR pulse, the saturation pulse and the RF excitation pulse. The second frequency range is adjusted to the first frequency range.
