A method is for processing sheet material, in particular value papers, such as banknotes, checks, etc., in which different groups of sheet material are processed one after the other. The different groups of sheet material are separated for processing. In the processing of different groups of sheets materials, which are separated from one another by separation cards arranged respectively at the beginning of the different groups of sheet material, a first processing, in which separation cards and unrecognized sheet material are sorted out, should be followed by a second processing of the sorted-out separation cards and of the unrecognized sheet material, in which separation cards to which no unrecognized sheet material is assigned are sorted out.

Method for processing sheet products

Described is a method for processing value documents which have an individual identifier, for example a serial number, in which for the value documents the individual identifier is respectively captured and from at least a part of the value documents a stack is formed, wherein for the stack the individual identifiers of the value documents of the stack are stored as belonging to a stack, for the stack there are captured usage data with the help of which the usage of the stack is identifiable and identifier data describing the individual identifier of at least one value document of the stack, and using the identifier data, the usage data and the individual identifiers of the value documents of the stack, which were stored as belonging to a stack, are stored so as to be associated with each other.

Method for processing value documents and means for performing the method

In an apparatus for singling sheet material, multiple picks are avoided by a retaining device ensuring that sheet material entrained with the sheet to be singled is retained not only on one side but also on the other side of the sheet to be singled. While the first retaining device is located opposite a singling gap of the singling device and is continually effective, the second retaining device acts before, or in, the singling gap from the other side of the singling gap and is only activated after the sheet to be singled is reliably grasped by the singling device, and deactivated when it has left the singling gap.

Apparatus and method for singling sheet material

The invention relates to an apparatus for accepting and dispensing or returning bank notes, including a pocket which is dividable by means of a dividing element into two areas for inputting and dispensing or returning bank notes, wherein the dividing element can be moved within the pocket in order to form the two areas, with a clamping element which can be moved within the pocket independently from the dividing element, in order to clamp bank notes disposed in the pocket inside the pocket and to transport them, wherein for clamping bank notes the clamping and transport element is moved in a first direction within the pocket on top of bank notes disposed in the pocket, and transports bank notes to be dispensed or returned out of the area of the dividing element at least for the most part. The dividing element is subsequently moved out of the area of the bank notes disposed in the pocket within the pocket past the clamping and transport element in a second direction that is contrary to the first direction.

Apparatus for accepting and dispensing banknotes

The invention relates to sheet material having an electrical circuit and to apparatuses and methods for processing said sheet material. The present invention describes sheet material having an electrical circuit as well as apparatuses and methods for processing same, which reduce the effort required for processing the sheet material and/or facilitate processing and/or improve it and/or make it more reliable. For this purpose, the sheet material has at least one electrical circuit, with energy and/or data being transmitted from the apparatus to the electrical circuit and/or from the electrical circuit to the apparatus and at least part of the transmitted data being used for processing.

Devices and method for the production of sheet material

An apparatus for processing sheet material includes a transport device for transporting single sheets of the sheet material. The transport device includes a diverting device for diverting the transport direction of the single sheets having one or more opposite first and second diverting elements between which the sheets are transported through for diversion. One of the diverting elements has a roughened surface with depressions of at least 1 mm. The apparatus further includes a smoothing device arranged so as to pull apart the sheet material in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction immediately before diversion in the diverting device.

Apparatuses for processing sheet material

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for accepting sheet material, in particular papers of value such as bank notes, checks, etc., whereby different groups of sheet material are successively accepted and stored. In a known method and corresponding apparatus for accepting groups of sheet material such as bank notes, the bank notes coming from a deliverer are checked and stored in a storage container in the order of their input. Thus it is not always recognizable without doubt subsequently, e.g. in cases of malfunction, which deliverer certain bank notes come from. The present invention starts out from the consideration that each group of sheet material is assigned at least one separation means and the separation means are stored at least partly together with the associated group of sheet material for separating the associated group of sheet material from other groups of sheet material.
