Wheel bearing unit with a wheel hub, wherein the wheel hub has an integrally formed wheel flange on one end thereof and an inner ring that is rotatable together with the wheel hub, wherein the inner ring is fastened on the wheel hub through the use of a rolling rivet connection in order to pre-tension a row of rolling elements in relation to an outer ring, and with an encoder provided on the inner ring and extending radially towards the outer ring, and with a protective cover fixed on the outer ring in order to close and seal annular openings formed between the outer ring and the wheel hub, and wherein a cylindrical section of the protective cover is pressed in and wherein a bottom section extends inwardly from the cylindrical section in a radial direction in order to cover an inner-side end of the wheel hub, wherein the cylindrical section is joined with a substance bond to the outer ring and wherein the substance-bond connection is produced through the use of a hardening fluid and wherein the fluid is held in a filling reservoir provided between the cylindrical section and the outer ring.

Wheel bearing unit

A wheel bearing arrangement of a vehicle axle is disclosed. The wheel bearing arrangement includes a wheel bearing, which contains at least two rolling element rows, for supporting a wheel hub which can be driven by a drive element. The rolling elements of the wheel bearing are guided in races of a stationary outer ring, the rotating wheel hub, and a separate inner ring which is allocated to the wheel hub. In the assembled state, the wheel hub of the wheel bearing arrangement and the drive element are operatively connected via gearing. The inner ring has a radially stepped inner contour, the inner contour having two diameters which differ from one another, and are received in a complementarily designed receiving area of the wheel hub. The position of the inner ring is fixed on the end face by a rolling riveted collar of the wheel hub.

A bearing seal () of a rolling bearing configured as a wheel bearing () that is connected between a first rotationally rigid bearing part () and a second bearing part () that is integral with a wheel bearing flange (), between which rolling bodies () are guided. The bearing seal () includes a splash plate () configured as a preseal, which is supported on an axially and radially oriented contour () of the second bearing part (), and together with the wheel bearing flange (), axially defines a catch channel (). A seal fitting () is fixed to the first bearing part () by a reinforcement (), wherein the reinforcement () is enclosed by an elastic sealing material (), at least in some areas, from which sealing lips () are formed, which are grindingly or non-grindingly associated with the splash plate (). Between the splash plate (), which abuts, in a line or surface contact, the radially oriented wheel bearing flange () via a support zone (), and the sealing fitting (), a sealing labyrinth () is provided. By way of a resiliently flexible fastening section (), the splash plate () is pressed onto the cylindrical contour () of the second bearing part () and is pre-stressed in an end position.

The invention relates to a spur toothing on at least one coupling element for transmitting torques about a rotational axis, said spur toothing axially engaging with a corresponding mating cutting. The face cutting is provided with teeth from a material of the coupling element that has been plastically shaped in an at least partially noncutting manner.

A hub on a wheel bearing unit, which has at least one inner ring, sitting on the hub. The inner ring is axially retained on the hub by a collar, which has a toothing, formed from the hub. The inner ring has a radially inward broken-out section on the front face thereof and the broken-out section is filled with plastically displaced material from the collar such that the material of the inner ring at least engages in the broken-out section and the material in the broken-out section is enclosed in the radial direction by the inner ring.

The rolling bearing has a first bearing ring, a second bearing ring and a plurality of rolling bodies which are arranged between the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. The rolling bodies are arranged in at least four rows. At least two rows have a first reference diameter and at least two further rows have a second reference diameter which is different from the first reference diameter, and those rows which have the same reference diameter are arranged symmetrically with respect to a predefined plane which is aligned perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the bearing.

The wheel bearing joint unit having an inner ring that sits on a hub of the wheel bearing joint unit. The inner ring is axially retained on the hub using a collar that is formed from the hub. The collar is provided with a toothing which meshes with a corresponding opposite toothing on a joint part. The toothing and the opposite toothing are braced against each other by a screw which rests on the hub and engages into a thread on the joint part. The joint has two axial projections, one which has the toothing to engage the toothing on the collar and another with the threading to engage the screw. These two projections are spaced apart by a groove to provide flexibility.
