A chemical preservative including phenoxyethanol, 2-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and N,N-bis(3-aminopropyl) dodecylamine; its use to inhibit and/or to control the growth of microorganisms in a technical composition.

Storage-stable microbicidal concentrates and use thereof as preservatives

A preparation including a) at least one N-formal and b) at least one dialkylhydroxylamine. The preparation is preferably formulated as a concentrate. The preparation can be used (in particular in the form of the concentrate) for the reduction of free oxygen and the preservation of water, and also correspondingly additivated water. The mixture of N-formals with dialkylhydroxylamine is not only outstandingly compatible, but considerably improves the activity of dialkylhydroxylamines as oxygen scavengers.

Liquid preparation for the reduction of free oxygen and the preservation of water

The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a) 3,3'-methylenebis(5-methyl oxazolidine) and b) one or more additives selected from among (i) urea, urea derivatives, amino acids, guanidine and guanidine derivatives and (ii) 1,2-diols in the removal of sulphur compounds from process streams. The composition is preferably used in the removal of hydrogen sulphide from process streams.

Use of compositions having a content of 3,3'-methylenebis(5-methyloxazolidine) in the removal of sulphur compounds from process streams

The invention relates to a preparation comprising a) 10 to 80% by weight of &#x3b1;,&#x3b1;',&#x3b1;&#x2033;-trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine-1,3,5-(2H,4H,6H) triethanol (TTT) and b) one or more additives selected from i) ammonia, ii) alkanolamines with primary amino group and alkyl group having at most eight carbon atoms and iii) alkylamines with primary amino group and alkyl group having at most eight carbon atoms, where the weight ratio a):b) is in the range from 100:30 to 100:1. The preparation is present as semi-concentrate and has an advantageously lower viscosity, is moreover storage-stable, in particular storage-stable over a long period.

Preservative for technical products

Disclosed is a storage-stable condensation product prepared from 1-amino-2-propanol and formaldehyde in a molar ratio in the range from 1:2.0 to 1:3.1. The condensation product contains less than 10% by weight of water. Also, disclosed is the preparation of the condensation product and the use thereof for reducing the amount of hydrogen sulphide in liquids and gases.

Disclosed is an antimicrobial composition that includes a) one or more C3 to C5 alkane dioles-1,3, b) one or more aromatic alcohols and c) one or more C8 to C14 alkanols. A preferred component a) is propane diol-1,3. Preferred components b) are phenoxyethanol and phenethyl alcohol. A preferred component c) is undecanol-1. Optionally, an antioxidant c) is present, which is preferably Vitamin E. In a preferred embodiment the composition is a concentrate and is suitable for the antimicrobial finishing of dermatological, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

Mixture of natural or nature-identical alcohols with improved effectiveness

Microbicidal preparations containing a) at least one 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one or its derivatives; b) at least one 2-mercaptopyridine N-oxide, or its salts and derivatives; c) at least one aromatic alcohol; and d) at least one alkalinizing agent, or a preparation prepared by mixing components a) to d), and having a pH of at least 11, are provided. The microbicidal preparations are clear and storage-stable, and are suitable for use as preservatives.

Microbicidal preparations based on 1, 2-benzisothiazonlin-3-one with a content of aromatic alcohol

An additive mixture for fuels including a) at least one N-formal, b) at least one antioxidant and c) at least one corrosion inhibitor. The additive mixture ensures that the additized fuels and lubricants have biocidal and corrosion-inhibiting additization, especially when they include proportions of renewable raw materials, such as biodiesel, and when they are in contact with copper-containing surfaces.

A concentrate for cleaning and disinfecting includes (i) one or more alkyl alcohol alkoxylates, (ii) one or more formaldehyde donor compounds, (iii) optionally one or more biocidal, in particular fungicidal, active ingredient(s), (iv) optionally one or more glycols and (v) optionally up to 10% by weight of water. Concentrates according to the invention can be formulated with a high content of formaldehyde donor compound without an undesired formaldehyde odor arising.

System cleaner concentrate

The invention relates to a microbicidal use solution which comprises a) one or more isothiazolin-3-ones and b) one or two organic amines selected from N-dodecylpropane-1,3-diamine and bis(aminopropyl)-dodecylamine and optionally c) one or more oxidizing agents. The use solution is preferably in the form of technical and domestic products.

Antimicrobially effective use solutions comprising combinations of isothiazolones and amines

A preservative which comprises a) one or more isothiazolones and b) one or more glycerol monoalkyl ethers, and the use of the preservative for microbicidal finishing of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.
