A set of floor panels includes a first floor panel having a first holding profile at a lateral edge, a second floor panel having a second holding profile at a lateral edge joinable to the first holding profile by a substantially vertically oriented downward movement of the second floor panel, and a separate L-shaped clip including a horizontal leg, a vertical leg and a detent tab adjoining an upper end of the vertical leg, the clip inserted into a clip groove of the first holding profile, the detent tab attaining a locking position for vertically locking the holding profiles during or after the downward movement of the second floor panel, such that when the clip is inserted into the clip groove, the horizontal leg generates a tensioning force by which the upper end of the vertical leg is pushed against an upper delimiting wall of the clip groove.

A panel fastening system, especially floor panels, whose narrow sides are fitted with retaining profiles. The retaining profile of a front narrow side, the retaining profile of the opposite back narrow side, the retaining profile of a left narrow side and the retaining profile of the opposite right narrow side of a panel match each other in such a way that similar panels can be fixed to one another. The mutually matching retaining profiles have complementary hook elements that can be hooked into one another and the hook elements have retaining surfaces which hold the panels against each other when the panels are mounted in such a way that a gap-free surface is obtained.

Panel and panel fastening system

A panel fastening system, especially for floor panels. The floor panels are fitted with retaining profiles on their edges, whereby the retaining profile of a front edge and the retaining profile of the opposite back edge and the retaining profile of a left edge and the retaining profile of the opposite right edge of a panel match each other in such a way that similar panels can be fixed to one another. The mutually matching retaining profiles have complementary hook elements that can be hooked into one another and the hook elements have retaining surfaces by means of which the panels are held against each other when mounted in such a way that a gap-free surface is obtained.

The method for laying and interlocking the panels uses panels with complementary, formfitting retaining profiles extending over the length of the sides. The complementary edges of the panels allow two adjacent panels to be positively joined such that displacement of the panels away from one another is prevented, while enabling articulation of the panels with respect to one another at the joint location. The method of installation provides for installing a new panel to a first row and a panel in a second row by first joining the new panel to the panel of the second row at its short side, followed by pivoting the new panel upwards out of the plane of the laid panels along its long side, along with at least the adjacent end of the first panel in the second row, into an inclined position, and sliding the new panel into the retaining profile of the panels in the first row. The new panel and the raised end of the panel in the second row are then pivoted down into the plane of the laid panels. Laying of panels continues according to this process until the complete floor assembly has been laid.

Method for laying and interlocking panels

Rectangular floor panels, a fastening system for joining the panels, and a method for laying and interlocking the panels are disclosed. The panels are provided complementary, form-fitting retaining profiles extending over the length of the sides. The present disclosure involves a covering element for building surfaces and a method for the production thereof. The covering element includes a decorative visible side generally having a support plate having top and bottom surfaces, an upper transparent face sheet bonded to the top surface of the support plate, and a lower face sheet bonded to the bottom surface of the support plate. The upper face sheet has a support layer having cellulose in which an abrasion-resistant material is embedded in the form of corundum particles. In the present configuration, a decorative layer is applied to the bottom of the support layer by a color printing process. The decorative layer, which is underneath the support layer, is visible after all the layers have been pressed together under the application of heat. This process causes it to become transparent. The support layer and the decorative layer are covered with bonding material having melamine resin. The lower face sheet includes a tension layer made of paper which is also covered with bonding material.

Covering element for building surfaces or the like and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a fastening system for panels whose edges are provided complementary holding profiles which match one another in such a manner that further panels can be fastened to the free edges of a previously placed panel. The holding profiles of at least the long edges are configured as complementary positive-fit profiles, one of the profiles having a projection with a convex bottom edge, and the other profile having a recess with a concave bottom edge, such that the profiles may be interconnected by a pivoting motion. Such complementary design of the profiles enables the positive-fit profiles of the long edges of two panels to form a common joint which, when the panels are laid, enables bidirectional pivoting of the panels with respect to one another about a pivot axis that is parallel to the joined long edges of the panels.
