A full face fabricated vehicle wheel having a wheel attached to a wheel disc. The wheel disc includes a hub located centrally within the wheel disc and defining a wheel axis. The wheel disc further includes an outer circumferential edge having an outboard bead seat retaining flange, and an annular transition portion radially extending between the hub and the outer circumferential edge. The transition portion includes a plurality of vent hole regions circumferentially spaced around the transition portion about the wheel axis. At least one vent hole region includes a vent hole formed through the transition portion and defining an outer perimeter such that at least two bridging portions extend inwardly from the perimeter which subdivides the vent hole into at least three smaller holes formed through the transition portion at the at least one vent hole region.

A wheel disc includes a hub located centrally within the wheel disc and defining a wheel axis. The wheel disc further includes an outer circumferential edge and a transition portion radially extending between the hub and the outer circumferential edge. The transition portion has a front surface and a rear surface such that the front surface has a relatively smooth profile and the rear surface has a plurality of concentric ring-shaped curvatures formed therein, thereby providing the transition portion with a variable thickness between the front and rear surfaces.

A vehicle wheel with monitoring device, and a monitoring device, comprising a housing which is arranged rotatably with a rim part of the vehicle wheel, an electronic circuit which is arranged in the housing and is coupled to a load detection device arranged in the housing and having strain gauges for detecting forces acting on the vehicle wheel. Flexible hubcap for a vehicle wheel having a floating seat

A locking device for locking a first part to a second part, including a shaft which connects the first part and the second part to one another in a pivotable manner. A rotational movement of the shaft entrains the first part in rotation, and the second part is rotatably mounted on the shaft. The first part is arranged on the shaft in an axially moveable fashion and can be engaged with the second part, and at least one damping element is assigned to the shaft and to the first part.

A guiding system for a sliding door, especially a motor vehicle, comprising a sliding rail () with an upper cover () and a lower edge () arranged opposite the upper cover (), and a roller element () which is guided in the sliding rail () and comprises a roller element housing () is presented. Three rollers () are rotatably fixed to the roller element housing (), two rollers () extending along the upper cover () of the sliding rail () and the third roller () extending along the lower edge (). The invention creates one such guiding system in such a way that there is no play, it operates quietly, and has a taut system characteristic. To this end, a spring element () is fixed to the roller element housing (), said spring element pressing on of the first two roller () and the third roller () against the sliding rail ().

Guiding system for a sliding door

A door arrester for a door of a motor vehicle includes a holder housing including a passage opening for a retaining bar, the holder housing including a first supporting housing part. The first supporting housing part includes injection-molded plastic and a fastening portion for fixing the holder housing onto a part of the motor vehicle. A swinging element and a spring element are provided. The swinging element is pivotable relative to the passage opening toward the retaining bar. The spring element acts upon the swinging element. The first housing part includes a bearing for receiving the swinging element.

Door arrester

A doorstop that includes a retainer piece disposed on one of a door and a door support, the retainer piece including a plastic housing with a main opening and a guide opening arranged perpendicular to the main opening and parallel to a pivot axis of the door. The doorstop also includes a door retaining rod articulated on the other of the door and the door support. The door retaining rod passes through the main opening of the retainer piece housing and includes a brake ramp and a catch depression on a side of the door retaining rod. The doorstop also includes a catch device configured to determine specific door opening positions. The catch device includes a brake body and a spring. The catch device connects the retainer piece and the door retaining rod to each other in a moveable manner. The brake body includes a hollow cylinder having a semi-spherical closed end and an open end and is slidingly disposed in the guide opening of the retainer piece. The open end accommodates the spring so that the closed end is pre-tensioned by the spring relative to the brake ramp and catch depression and is guided in the guide opening free of tilt.

A welded vehicle wheel having a sectional rim which is connected to a nave or wheel disk in the area of the drop center by means of a weld seam, and which has standardized sections, in particular rim flange and bead seat area in terms of their axial and/or radial extent, transition radii and angles, and nonstandardized sections, in particular drop center area. Here, a nonstandardized section has at least one cambered part which reinforces the rim and extends radially and over the entire circumference, the center axis of the cambered part being coaxial with the axis of the rim and being located outside the usual rim section

Welded vehicle wheel

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing components from critical cold forming of light metal strip, preferably naturally hard Al alloys of the AlMg or AlMg&mdash;Mn types, in which the desired component is manufactured from the strip by at least one cold forming step and the plasticity is improved before the cold forming by means of a soft annealing. According to the invention, it is proposed that the region of the longitudinal edges of the cold-slit strips is heated in a depth in the strip width of at least 1 mm to a maximum of 10 mm in such a way that a temperature of over 150&deg; C. is reached over a time span of more than 0.1 seconds to a maximum of 10 seconds.

Method for manufacturing components by critical formation of light metal strip

A welded vehicle wheel includes a center or wheel disc and a rim. The center has a side wall area at an outermost circumference of the wheel disc having an increasing diameter toward an inner side of the welded vehicle wheel. A substantially axially disposed circumferential portion is connected to the inner end of the side wall area. The rim includes a bed region with a decreasing diameter toward the outer side of the welded vehicle wheel. In the assembled state, the rim is connected to the center by a press fit between the outer side of the circumferential portion and the bed region and by a welded seam between the free-end of the circumferential portion and the bed region. The press fit and welded seam form a space therebetween that is circumferentially continuous and expands in cross-section toward the inner side of the welded vehicle wheel.

Vehicle wheel having a large contact surface area

A light-metal strip wheel, in particular for motor vehicles, which includes a wheel disk and a rim. The wheel disk comprises two wheel-disk parts each having a ventilation hole. The ventilation holes have necks that when pressed into one another, secure together the two wheel-disk parts with the two parts separated from one another in the region surrounding the ventilation holes, while coming to rest on one another in a hub region. The space between the two wheel-disk parts in the region surrounding the ventilation holes increases the stiffness of the strip wheel so that the wheel is suitable for accommodating large loads.

Method and apparatus for removing an edge fin produced on a workpiece surface during the production of metal rim reinforcement strips. The edge fin is removed after the rim is clamped in the longitudinal direction by cutting a lateral incision into the edge fin along the longitudinal direction just above the workpiece surface. The cutting tool may be stationary blades or roll blades, the latter blades cooperating with a support for the edge fin during lateral cutting.
