A method actuates a vehicle drivetrain of a vehicle having a drive unit, in particular an electric motor, wherein the drivetrain has at least one first partial drivetrain which is assigned to a first output unit which transmits a torque between the drive unit and the first output unit, and has at least one second partial drive train which is assigned to a second output unit which transmits a torque between the drive unit and the second output unit. When a positive torque is transmitted, a load is applied to the drivetrain in a first direction, and when a negative torque is transmitted, a load is applied to the drivetrain in a second direction opposed to the first direction. At least one pre-load device is provided which, when a predetermined positive torque limiting value is reached or when a predetermined negative torque limiting value is reached, pre-loads the first partial drivetrain in the first direction of the positive torque and pre-loads the second partial drivetrain in the second direction of the negative torque.

Method for actuating a vehicle drivetrain

A method and associated safety system are provided for the recognition of defects in a drive system of a motor vehicle, having an electronically controllable brake control system and having at least one electronically controlled driving engine, an electronically controllable clutch and/or having an electronically controllable transmission. An electronic braking control device is assigned to the brake control system, which braking control device is connected with an independent monitoring module. The independent monitoring module checks for an occurrence of an implausible braking torque, for detecting a defect in the drive system.

Method and safety concept for recognizing defects in a drive system of a motor vehicle

A method for calibrating a distance sensor of a rotary actuator device for controlling a charge cycle valve of an internal combustion engine. The rotary actuator device includes a controllable electric motor having an actuator element for actuating the charge cycle valve, two energy storage means acting in opposite drive directions on the charge cycle valve, a control and regulating device which controls the electric motor with regard to its rotor angle according to a stored setpoint path and a distance sensor for detecting the rotor position. At least one state variable of the electric motor is measured, the at least one state variable being compared with a reference variable. If there is a deviation between the variables being compared, the stored setpoint path and/or the distance sensor signal detected is/are altered as a function of the state variable.

Method for calibration of a positional sensor on a rotational actuator device for control of a gas exchange valve in an internal combustion engine

A process for operating an electromagnetic actuator is provided, in particular to actuate a gas exchange lift valve of an internal combustion engine, with an armature, which is moved oscillatingly between two electromagnetic coils against the force of at least one return spring via an alternating supply of current to the electromagnetic coils. Whereby, during the so-called catch process as the armature approaches the coil that is subjected first to a current flow, the voltage applied to the coil catching the armature is reduced. To avoid unnecessary losses, a voltage curve is chosen with which an eddy current, calculated with a mathematical model, is minimized in the armature.

Process for operating an electromagnetic actuator

The invention relates to a method for controlling the movement of an armature of an electromagnetic actuator, particularly for operating a charge cycle lifting valve of an internal-combustion engine, the armature being moved in an oscillating manner between two solenoid coils in each case against the force of at least one restoring spring by the alternating energizing of the solenoid coils, and, with an approach of the armature to the first-energized coil, during the so-called capturing operation, the electric voltage being reduced which is applied to the coil capturing the armature. The capturing phase of the capturing operation is followed by a braking phase in which, until the armature impacts on the coil, an electric voltage is applied to the latter in a switched manner, the respective switching points in time and the voltage switching ratio being determined by a controller by means of a desired trajectory describing the desired armature movement. Preferably, a positive or negative voltage value, whose amount is constant, or the &ldquo;zero&rdquo; voltage value is applied in a switched manner to the coil capturing the armature.
