A guide vane for a variable turbine geometry and a turbine assembly provided with same are described. The guide vane has an outer face that is at least partly concave in design. The inner face opposite the outer face may also be at least partly concave in design. This gives the guide vane a good functional capability when arranged in a vane ring of a turbine, since an overflow through the gap between the guide vane and the neighboring walls is reduced.

Disclosed is a turbocharger for an internal combustion engine, having a bearing housing. A turbocharger rotor is mounted to be rotatable in the bearing housing about the rotor axis of rotation of its rotor shaft, wherein a turbine wheel is arranged for conjoint rotation on the rotor shaft and in a turbine housing fixed on the bearing housing. Between the rotor shaft and the bearing housing, an oil seal for sealing the bearing housing with respect to the turbine housing is arranged between the turbine wheel and a radial bearing associated with the turbine wheel in order to seal the bearing housing with respect to the turbine housing. A predetermined breaking point is formed for the turbocharger rotor of the turbocharger which lies in a breaking point region and extends axially between the turbine wheel back and an axial end, facing the turbine wheel back, of the rotor-shaft oil seal.

Example embodiments relate to a turbocharger for a combustion machine, having a bearing housing, in which a rotor shaft is mounted so as to be rotatable about a rotor axis of rotation. An exhaust-gas turbine with a turbine wheel is arranged rotationally conjointly on the rotor shaft and which has an impeller blade arrangement with multiple turbine blades, and with a turbine housing is mechanically fixed to the bearing housing and which surrounds the turbine wheel With respect to a meridional view of the exhaust-gas turbine, the turbine housing and the turbine wheel are designed and adapted to one another such that the following condition is satisfied:

An exhaust-gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine includes an intake duct for air, an exhaust-gas duct, a turbine arranged in the exhaust-gas duct, and a compressor impeller arranged in the intake duct, which turbine and compressor impeller are both arranged on a common shaft, wherein the exhaust-gas duct has a spiral housing which coaxially surrounds the turbine, and wherein, between the spiral housing and the turbine, a ring-shaped gap is provided through which the exhaust-gas flow flows circumferentially to the turbine, and wherein, in the ring-shaped gap, guide vanes are arranged which are rotatable about an adjustment axis by an adjustment mechanism for controlling the flow resistance. To compensate thermal expansions and shrinkages of the guide vanes under different operating conditions, the adjustment mechanism additionally has a displacement mechanism for displacing the guide vanes in the ring-shaped gap. The displacement mechanism is directly coupled to the adjustment mechanism.

An exhaust-gas turbocharger includes a turbine housing and a wastegate which is disposed in the turbine housing. The turbine housing is water-cooled. An electric wastegate actuator is an integrated constituent part of the turbine housing.

A turbocharger includes a turbine with a turbine wheel, a compressor with a compressor wheel and a shaft mounted in a bearing unit. The turbine wheel and the compressor wheel are disposed on the shaft. The turbine wheel is disposed in a turbine housing. The compressor wheel is disposed in a compressor housing. The turbocharger is integrated into an aperture or recess of the cylinder head of an engine and the turbine housing is formed integrally in the cylinder head.

An exhaust-gas turbocharger includes a turbine housing and a wastegate which is disposed in the turbine housing and has a wastegate flap. The wastegate flap can be adjusted by an output shaft of a wastegate actuator. The output shaft has a central axis. The wastegate actuator is an integral constituent part of the turbine housing. During an adjustment of the wastegate flap, the output shaft of the wastegate actuator interacts with a wastegate spindle which has a central axis. The output shaft of the wastegate actuator is thermally decoupled from the wastegate spindle.

A turbine for an exhaust turbocharger, in particular for a motor vehicle, has a turbine flap which controls an exhaust volume flowing through the turbine. An axial bearing for a turbocharger contains a through hole for a shaft and at least one at least partially or completely circulating segment section on a first and second side of the axial bearing. At least one bearing surface is disposed in the segment section. At least one oil pocket is on the first side of the axial bearing. The oil pocket is connected to at least one recess opening outwards, the recess being configured such that it connects the oil pocket for oil supply purposes to the respective segment section and the bearing surface(s) thereof on the first and second side of the axial bearing.
