A method for dynamically restraining an occupant fastened into a vehicle seat with a seatbelt in a vehicle, where a transverse acceleration of the vehicle and a course of a road ahead of the vehicle are determined and the seatbelt is tightened with a predefined belt force a predefined length of time before the vehicle enters a bend that has a predefined curvature. The method includes assigning a respective comfort speed to different turning angles of turnoffs and turnings at which it is possible to comfortably drive into the turnoffs or around the turnings. When the vehicle nears a turnoff or a turning at a current driving speed that exceeds the comfort speed assigned to the turning angle by a predefined value, the seatbelt is tightened with a predefined belt force before the turnoff or the turning is reached.

Method for dynamically restraining an occupant fastened into a vehicle seat with a seatbelt

A method for dynamically securing an occupant strapped into a vehicle seat with a seat belt involves determining a lateral acceleration of the vehicle and a road course ahead of the vehicle. A lateral acceleration to be expected in the course of a bend ahead of the vehicle is predicted based on image data of a vehicle environment acquired by means of at least one camera on the vehicle and/or on the basis of acquired data of a navigation map. In the event that the predicted lateral acceleration exceeds a situation-dependent predetermined trigger threshold for tightening the seat belt, a belt force acting on the seat belt is increased before the lateral acceleration acts on the occupant.

Method for dynamic securing

A method for the dynamic fixation of an occupant wearing a seatbelt on a vehicle seat involves determining a lateral acceleration of the vehicle and a road course ahead of the vehicle. The seatbelt is tightened with a predetermined belt force for a predetermined period of time before entering a bend having a certain curvature.

A method for producing a valve device is provided. The airbag has at least one substantially air-permeable textile, fabric layer and with a film. The textile layer and the film are arranged in a deep-drawing tool with at least area-wise reciprocal overlapping. A valve mechanism for a gaseous medium of an airbag is provided. The valve mechanism includes a first and second layer, which respectively include a passage opening that is substantially closed in a closed position of the valve mechanism by a corresponding cover region of the other respective layer. An adjusting element in the form of a tube with an adjustable volume provides a temporary passage position of the valve mechanism by lifting one of the cover regions of the corresponding layer from the corresponding passage opening.

Valve device and airbag comprising such a valve device, and method for operating such a valve device

In a method for controlling the operation of a reversible belt retractor to release a belt extraction lock of a restraint belt in a motor vehicle, the lock can be activated by an acceleration sensor. After the belt retractor has been triggered as a consequence of a hazardous situation having been detected and after the hazardous situation has been recognized as being over, the operation of the belt retractor is controlled by a release signal at a release time in order to bring about the release of the belt extraction lock to shift it from a blocking state into a comfort-providing state. The release time is determined by a sensor model algorithm based on a model of the acceleration sensor from at least one variable characterizing the running dynamics.
