A method for the production of glass components, an apparatus for carrying out the method, and a glass component that is obtainable through the method are provided. The method is a drawing method wherein a forming zone of a preform is heated to a temperature that allows drawing of the glass. The method includes a forming zone of the preform that is very small. Thereby the width of the preform is decreased to a smaller extent than its thickness. The glass components that can be obtained by this method have very smooth surfaces.

Method for the production of glass components

An optical arrangement for a camera module with an image sensor is provided. The optical arrangement includes optical components having a transparent cover element; an infrared absorbing cut-off filter; and an optical lens. The optical components are arranged, along an incident optical beam path going through the optical components onto the image sensor, in a sequence through the transparent cover element, then the infrared absorbing cut-off filter, and then the optical lens.

A drawing method for glass is described. The method provides glass components that have a strongly increased ratio of width to thickness when compared to the preform, which makes the manufacturing of flat glass components more economical. The method purposefully controls the temperature distribution within the preform.

Optical glass filters are provided that include a filter glass showing an optimized transmission spectrum which has a high transmission in the wave length range of 300 to 400 nm and a very low transmission in the visible wave length range. The glass has an especially high optical quality and is excellently suitable as an optical filter for generating UV light without a proportion of visible light. The optical glass filters include the components nickel oxide and cobalt oxide.

A lighting device is provided that includes an LED and an NIR filter for a control panel or a display, which does not interfere with a night vision device. The light of the LED is in an area of u'&#x3e;0.19 and v&#x2032;&#x3e;0.46 of the u&#x2032;v&#x2032; diagram of the CIE-LUV chromaticity diagram. The NIR filter exhibits descending light transmittance between 500 nm and 800 nm. The thickness of the NIR filter is chosen so that a sufficient blocking effect is provided in a range of wavelengths between 600 nm and 800 nm, so that the color coordinates of the filtered useful light are in an area with a radius of 0.04 around coordinates u&#x2032;=0.19 and v&#x2032;=0.49 of the u&#x2032;v&#x2032; diagram.

Optical filters, their production and their uses are provided. The optical filters have heat-resistant, mechanically stable absorption layers or filter layers. The optical filters can be absorption filters or ND filters. The filter layer includes filter particles dispersed in a matrix. The filter particles have a constant absorption over a wide wavelength range. The matrix includes a heat-resistant binder.

The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of packaged components. The invention is based here on the problem of facilitating the application of covers with lateral dimensions that are smaller than the lateral dimensions of the functional substrate. For this purpose, a plate-like cover substrate is mounted on a carrier substrate. Then, on the uncovered side of the plate-like cover substrate, trenches are inserted, so that a composite part is obtained with the carrier substrate and individual covering parts that are separated from each other by the trenches, but interconnected by the carrier substrate. The covering parts of the composite part are connected with a functional substrate with a plurality of components. Then, the connection of the covering parts is dissolved with the carrier substrate, and the carrier substrate is removed, so that a composite is obtained with the functional substrate and a plurality of covering parts that cover functional areas.

Method for packaging components

Methods for press molding a glass body, especially for optical applications, without additional grinding and polishing steps are described. One method is performed with a press mold having an upper mold part, a lower mold part and, if necessary or desired, a ring. In order to improve the quality of the products, especially glass bodies of larger diameters, a voltage is applied across the upper mold part and the lower mold part when the glass body is within the press mold and a pressing force is applied to the glass body when the temperature of the glass body matches the temperature of the press mold. Alternatively, in another method the press mold is cooled after it reaches a predetermined temperature and the pressing force is applied to the glass body in the mold after exceeding the sticking temperature (T).
