An improved light fixture includes a housing that connects to a power source at one end and interfaces with a heat sink, lighting module, and associated lens at the other end. A lens retainer includes an aperture that allows water to flow into a cavity formed within the lens retainer when installed. A portion of the heat sink is exposed to the cavity and can form a surface of the cavity. As a result, the exposed surface of the heat sink can come into direct contact with water that flows through the aperture of the lens retainer. The lens retainer can use multiple apertures in fluid communication with the cavity, providing a path for water to provide a cooling flow to the heat sink.

Pool light with improved thermal management

Systems and methods for dynamically controlling chlorinator operations based on chlorine demand may include receiving an operation command associated with a chlorinator for a fluid system with a chlorinator operation management controller ('management controller'). The management controller may determine a remaining runtime for the chlorinator and access measured values for fluid conditions from a plurality of fluid condition sensors for fluid of the fluid system. The management controller may determine a current chlorine demand based on the measured fluid conditions and a predetermined threshold for a chlorine level for the fluid. An operation of the chlorinator between an active state and an inactive state may be caused by the controller based on the current chlorine demand, the remaining runtime, and a configuration of components for the fluid system. Causing the operation of the chlorinator may include managing operations of a legacy control for the chlorinator.

Systems and methods for dynamic chlorinator operation

A sensor assembly may include a chassis, cover, first sensor, second sensor, and a control system. The chassis may include a first housing that defines a chamber with the cover and includes a partition within the chamber. A second housing of the chassis may define first and second ports in fluid communication with the chamber. A central wall may extend from an inner surface of the second housing and a protruding wall may extend over the central wall. Both the partition and the central wall may extend from locations along a longitudinal axis of the sensor assembly that are between the first port and the second port. In some examples the protruding wall and the partition direct a portion of fluid flowing within the second housing into and out of the chamber, and the first and second sensors detect values for respective fluid parameters for the portion of fluid.

Sensor assembly

A salt water chlorinator assembly along a closed loop water circuit incorporates a chlorinator cell subassembly and a flow switch subassembly into respective fluidly connected chlorinator assembly housing interior portions. The chlorinator cell subassembly includes an electrolysis cell controlled by a chlorinator printed circuit board. The flow switch subassembly includes a flow sensor mounted upon a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). A flow switch cable selectively attaches to a PCBA connector. Water flow rate data generated by the flow switch sensor, communicated via an external controller to a smart circulation pump, is used to enable automatic adjustment of the pump speed based upon the flow rate data. The external controller may further alert an end user of undesirable flow rate deviations due to a condition (e.g. a clogged pump/skimmer basket and/or dirty filter) along the closed loop circuit requiring attention.

Salt water chlorine generator having an integral multifunctional flow sensor

An underwater image projection system submerged in a body of water and projecting an image within the body of water. The system includes a submerged projection element, a light source steering device, a user interface, and a controller. The submerged projecting element includes a projecting light source that projects an image within the body of water. The light source steering device directs light from the projecting light source. The user interface receives data input from a user including at least one of an input of the image and instructions for displaying the image. The controller retrieves the data input from the user interface, accesses image data corresponding to the image, and controls the projecting light source and the light source steering device to project the image onto a target surface within the body of water based on the data input from the user interface.

Underwater image projection display system, lighting control system and device and method of operating same

A circuit interface includes a plurality of inputs, an internal controller, and a communication module. Each of the inputs may be configured to connect to a respective high voltage relay output of a pool and/or spa control ('PSC') panel. The internal controller may be connected to the plurality of inputs, and together, the internal controller and the plurality of inputs can be configured to convert relay output signals into formatted data that includes an implementation protocol. The communication module can be configured to transmit the formatted data from the circuit interface. Conversions from the relay output signals to the formatted data can include specifying or configuring the formatted data to cause a device controller to operate devices corresponding to respective PSC panel relay outputs by directing individual low voltage supplies from a common low voltage source to the respective devices.

Circuit interface

Systems and methods for operating lights can include stepping down a high voltage power supply and transmitting a resulting low voltage through a relay to a light. A device controller system can receive a selected mode for operating the light including a setting for brightness, color, or operation scheme. The selected mode can be converted into a command configured to cause the light to operate continuously while changing from a current mode of operation to the selected mode. The system can determine an operation sequence for the relay to convey the command to the light. A schedule for the operation sequence can include a zero cross operation by the relay indicating, to the light, the setting or an operation mode change. The relay can operate according to the operation sequence and the schedule and the light can change to from the current mode to the selected mode without delay.

Systems and methods for operating lights

A pool maintenance system for maintaining desired characteristics of a body of water in fluid communication therewith, includes a chlorine generator having an integral power supply input, a water circulation pump in fluid communication with the body of water and with the chlorine generator via a series of water conduits, and a heat pump in fluid communication the water circulation pump. The water circulation pump and/or the heat pump incorporate an integral power supply/transformer functioning as a single shared power source communicatively integrating the chlorine generator with the respective water circulation pump and/or heat pump. A wired and/or wireless interface is provided electrically connected to the power supply and transformer integrated with the respective water circulation pump and or heat pump. The interface may be configured for communication with an internet-connected user-accessible device and/or a user portable smart device to enable the user to monitor and control at least the operation of the pumps and the chlorinator.

An underwater projection system includes a controller designed to generate a map based on the boundary of a projection area, receive image content, and generate a control output based on the image content and the map. A projector is in communication with the controller to project the control output through the fluid onto the projection area.

Underwater image projection system and method

A motion control system for controlling an image projected from an underwater projection system in a water feature includes a chassis, a mirror support coupled to the chassis, a mirror member on the mirror support, a first drive member, and a second drive member. The mirror member is configured to reflect the image projected from the underwater projection system in the water feature. The first drive member is coupled to the chassis and configured to rotate the mirror support relative to the chassis about a first axis to move the reflected image in the water feature. The second drive member is coupled to the chassis and a fixed mount and is configured to rotate the chassis and the mirror support about a second axis to move the reflected image in the water feature.

An underwater projection system and a method for projecting images onto an underwater surface of a water feature are provided. The system includes an underwater projector in communication with a system controller. The system controller is configured to receive image content, manipulate the image content to generate a control output, and communicate the control output to the underwater projector. The underwater projector is configured to project an image onto the underwater surface based on the control output.

A water level detection system in a pool, spa, fountain or water feature, the water level detection system being provided with a tap line coupled to a plumbing line on a suction or supply side of a filtration system and admitting water from the pool, spa, fountain or water feature such that the change in level of the water in the tap line corresponds to a change in level of the water in the pool, spa, fountain or water feature. A sensing module has at least one sensor for detecting the height of a column of water or the pressure of a column of air in the water tap line. A controller is coupled to the sensing module and adapted to collect the data from the sensors that detect changes in the level of the water level of the pool, spa, fountain or water feature, communicate the detection of such a change, and report such a change to initiate addition or removal of water from the pool, spa, fountain or water feature body of water to adjust the water level in the body of water to a set point.

Some embodiments provide a motion control system controlling an image projected from an underwater projection system in a water feature, pool, or spa. The system includes a rotatable base and a mirror support member hingedly coupled to the rotatable base. A first motor is coupled to the rotatable base and is configured to rotate the mirror support member in a first plane. A second motor is coupled to the rotatable base and a fixed mount, wherein the second motor is configured to rotate the rotatable base relative to the fixed mount thereby rotating the mirror support member in a second plane.

Some embodiments include an underwater projection system having a water feature that includes a first underwater light niche. A user interface is configured to upload an image from a user to a controller. A projector is disposed in the first underwater light niche and is configured to project the image onto an underwater surface of the water feature. The controller is in communication with the user interface and the projector and the controller operates the projector.
