An apparatus comprises a processing device configured to receive a request for access to a first computing device and to determine, utilizing a time-varying password generation algorithm, a password for a repair mode user account on the first computing device, the repair mode user account having restricted access to user data stored on the first computing device. The processing device is also configured to access, utilizing the determined password, the repair mode user account on the first computing device. The processing device is further configured to record one or more actions performed on the first computing device while the first computing device is being accessed using the repair mode user account, and to provide the recorded one or more actions for viewing on a second computing device different than the first computing device.

Systems and methods are provided for performing a backup operation in a computing environment. In an environment that includes virtual machines, a backup policy is established. The policy includes events that includes a control change rate. The events are used to drive the backup operation by causing virtual machines whose change rates satisfy the control change rate. Other virtual machines that do not satisfy the events may be omitted from the backup operation.

According to an aspect of present disclosure, a set of power amplifiers are used to amplify power of a signal for transmission. The signal powers from a set of power amplifiers are coupled to set of primary windings which are commonly coupled to a secondary winding such that the powers on the primary windings are additive in the secondary winding. A current path on the primary side is provided for flow of a current that is induced on at least one primary winding when a power amplifier coupled to that primary winding is in 'off' state. As a result, the induced current is prevented from flowing in to the power amplifier that are in 'on' state. Further, the current path isolates the power amplifiers from each other thereby enabling the power amplifiers to operate at the rated efficiency. In one embodiment, the current path is provided using a resistor network.

The power consumed by the core area may be controlled by controlling the Cdyn of the processor such that the Cdyn is within an allowable Cdyn value irrespective of the application being processed by the core area. The power management technique includes measuring digital activity factor (DAF), monitoring architectural and data activity levels, and controlling power consumption by throttling the instructions based on the activity levels. As a result of throttling the instructions, throttling may be implemented in 3droop and thermal design point (TDP). Also, the idle power consumed by the uncore area while the core area is in deep power saving states may be reduced by varying the reference voltage VR and the VP provided to the uncore area. As a result, the idle power consumed by the uncore area may be reduced.
