The present disclosure provides an ethylene-based polymer. The ethylene-based polymer is formed from reacting, under polymerization conditions, ethylene monomer and bisallyl maleate ('BAIIM'). The present ethylene-based polymer with ethylene monomer and bisallyl maleate branching agent is interchangeably referred to as “BAIIM-PE.”

A copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane includes from 0.1 wt % to 5.0 wt % hydrolysable silane groups and has a Mz(abs)/Mw(abs) of less than or equal to 9.5; a ratio of Mz(abs)/Mw(abs) to polydispersity of less than or equal to 1.5; a polydispersity of 6.6 or greater; a Density×Polydispersity of 6.0 or greater; or an Amorphous Content at Room Temperature×Polydispersity of 360 or greater. Methods for forming a moisture-crosslinkable polymer composition include forming a copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane at a polymerization temperature of greater than or equal to 180° C. to less than or equal to 400° C. at a pressure from 5,000 psi to 50,000 psi; and adding a silanol condensation catalyst to the copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane.

A moisture-curable polyethylene formulation comprising a (hydrolyzable silyl group)-functional polyethylene copolymer and a condensation cure catalyst. The formulation is designed to be rapidly moisture curable under ambient conditions. Rapidly moisture-curable polyethylene formulation

A process for producing an ethylene-based polymer comprises polymerizing, by the presence of at least one free-radical initiator and using a high pressure tubular polymerization process, a reaction mixture containing ethylene and at least one CTA system comprising one or more CTA components to produce the ethylene-based polymer. The free-radical initiator is dissolved in a solvent comprising a saturated hydrocarbon to form an initiator solution which is added to the polymerization using an initiator feed line to an initiator injection pump. At least 50 wt % of the solvent has i) a dry point of less than or equal to 160&#xb0; C. and ii) an initial boiling point of greater than or equal to 100&#xb0; C. The polymerization process has a ratio of inlet pressure to first peak temperature of less than or equal to 9 Bar/&#xb0; C. At least one CTA make-up stream is fed into the polymerization process, wherein less than or equal to 30 wt % of the at least one CTA make-up stream comprises one or more saturated hydrocarbon CTA(s) with a maximum carbon atom number of 6 per molecule.

Methods for producing low volatile tubular low density ethylene-based polymers for clean extrusion coating processing

A method for exposing a substrate to water under superatmospheric pressure at a temperature of at least 70&#xb0; C. includes (a) applying a reaction mixture to a substrate, which reaction mixture has an isocyanate index of at least 10 and includes an aromatic polyisocyanate component, a polyol component having a polyol with a hydroxyl equivalent weight of at least 500, and a catalyst component having an isocyanate trimerization catalyst, and at least partially curing the reaction mixture to form a polyisocyanurate or polyurethane-isocyanurate polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 80&#xb0; C., and (b) exposing the substrate and the polyisocyanurate or polyurethane-isocyanurate polymer to water under superatmospheric pressure at a temperature of at least 70&#xb0; C.

Process for making urethane-isocyanurates

Polyisocyanurate or polyurethane-isocyanurate polymers are made by curing an aromatic polyisocyanate or a mixture of at least one aromatic polyisocyanate and at least one polyol having a hydroxyl equivalent weight of up to 200 in which the isocyanate index is at least 2.00, in the presence of at least one isocyanate trimerization catalyst, to form a polyisocyanurate or polyurethane-isocyanurate polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 100&#xb0; C., and then exposing the polyisocyanurate or polyurethane-isocyanurate polymer formed step a) to water under superatmospheric pressure at a temperature of at least 70&#xb0; C.
