Methods and systems for auto-detecting and auto-connecting communication protocols with respect to an image capture device connected to an accessory device via an interface cable. A method for seamless connectivity including automatically detecting, by one of an image capture device and an accessory device, of a wired connection between the image capture device and the accessory device via an interface cable, automatically initiating, by the one of the image capture device and the accessory device, processing associated with a communication protocol supported by the image capture device and the accessory device, and automatically connecting the image capture device to the accessory device via the communication protocol when the processing is complete.

Method and system for auto-detection and auto-connection between a device and an accessory device

A system with an integrated internal battery, a removable battery, and a power management integrated circuit. The power management integrated circuit is configured to provide power to the image capture device from the removable battery; provide power to the image capture device from the integrated internal battery when the removable battery is disconnected from the image capture device or the removable battery does not have a sufficient charge to drive the image capture device; and recharge the integrated internal battery before the removable battery until the integrated internal battery has a sufficient charge to power the image capture device. The power is continuously supplied to the image capture device from the integrated internal battery while the removable battery is disconnected from the image capture device or does not have sufficient power to drive the image capture device.

Integrated internal and removable battery power management for image capture device

A method and system for continuously supplying power to an image capture device during an image capture session are disclosed. The image capture device includes an integrated internal battery located internal to the image capture device and a removable battery connected to the image capture device. Power is provided to the image capture device from the removable battery. When the removable battery is disconnected from the image capture device, power is provided to the image capture device from the integrated internal battery. When a new removable battery is connected to the image capture device, power is provided to the image capture device from the new removable battery. Power is continuously supplied to the image capture device from the integrated internal battery while the removable battery is disconnected and replaced with the new removable battery.

Devices and methods for sharing power between power sources are disclosed. The power sources may be internal to an electronic device, external to the electronic device, or both. An electronic device may include a power source, a switch circuit, a processor, and a power management integrated circuit (PMIC). The processor may determine a load current estimate. The load current estimate may be based on a device setting, an external temperature, or both. The processor may determine a power source voltage, an external power source voltage, or both. The processor may determine a power source current, an external power source current, or both. The PMIC may set an output power source current of the power source. The PMIC may set an output external power source current of the external power source.

Method and apparatus for sharing power between internal and external power sources

A battery-disconnect circuit may include a latch, a battery-disconnect subcircuit, and a power-enable subcircuit. The battery-disconnect subcircuit may be configured to control current leakage. The battery-disconnect subcircuit may be connected to the latch. The latch may be configured to maintain a power supply state of the battery-disconnect subcircuit, a no-power supply state of the battery-disconnect subcircuit, or both. The power-enable subcircuit may be connected to the battery-disconnect subcircuit. The power-enable subcircuit may be configured to switch the battery-disconnect subcircuit to the power supply state based on an enable signal. The power-enable subcircuit may be configured to switch the battery-disconnect subcircuit to the no-power supply state based on an off signal.
