A method of enhanced oil recovery may comprise placing into a subterranean formation a production enhancement fluid comprising a short chain hydrocarbon phase and a silane based wettability modifier, wherein the short chain hydrocarbon phase comprises hydrocarbons having 5 or less carbon atoms; allowing the production enhancement fluid to remain in the subterranean formation for a shut-in period; and producing hydrocarbons from the subterranean formation.

In one embodiment, the methods comprise: preparing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and a swellable particle that comprises a material having a first monomer, a second monomer, and a third monomer comprising a foamable surfactant; introducing the treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating at least a portion of a subterranean formation; and blending the treatment fluid while in the wellbore to form a foamed gel.

Foamed gel treatment fluids and methods of use

Methods and compositions for stimulating oil or gas production from a well with a single treatment fluid for use in a combined acidizing and hydraulic fracturing treatment are provided. An embodiment is a method comprising: coating a plurality of proppant particulates with oil to form oil-coated proppant particulates; adding the oil-coated proppant particulates to a solution comprising water, an acid source, and an emulsifier, wherein the ratio of the oil coating the proppant particulates to the water in the solution is less than 20:80 by volume; and mixing the solution and the oil-coated proppant particulates to form a treatment fluid comprising a water-in-oil emulsion and the oil-coated proppant particulates.

Acidizing and proppant transport with emulsified fluid

A method of treating in a subterranean formation including combining a dimer acid; proppant; an emulsifier; an oil base fluid; and aqueous base fluid to form an oil-external emulsified fluid; and introducing the oil-external emulsified fluid into the subterranean formation. A method of forming a wellbore fluid including combining proppant; a dimer acid; an aqueous base fluid, an oil base fluid, and an emulsifier to form a pre-emulsified fluid; and mixing the pre-emulsified fluid to form an oil-external emulsified fluid.

Emulsified fluid system for fracturing application

Certain foamed gel treatment fluids and methods of using the treatment fluids in wellbores penetrating subterranean formations are provided. In one embodiment, the treatment fluids comprise: an aqueous base fluid, a gas, a plurality of particulates, and a plurality of swellable particles each comprising a material having a first monomer, a second monomer, and a third monomer comprising a foamable surfactant. In one embodiment, the methods comprise: preparing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and a swellable particle that comprises a material having a first monomer, a second monomer, and a third monomer comprising a foamable surfactant; blending the treatment fluid with a gas to form a foamed gel; and introducing the foamed gel into a wellbore penetrating at least a portion of a subterranean formation.

Methods for producing a coating on a fracture surface within a subterranean formation are provided. A pad fluid is injected or introduced into a wellbore to form a primary fracture in the subterranean formation and a coating fluid is injected or introduced into the primary fracture to form secondary fractures in the subterranean formation. The coating fluid is flowed into the secondary fractures to expose nucleation surfaces on the secondary fractures to the coating fluid and to produce a resin coating on the nucleation surfaces. Conductive flow paths are formed on and/or within the resin coating. Hydrocarbons can be retrieved from the subterranean formation via the conductive flow paths within the secondary fractures. A viscosity of the pad fluid is greater than a viscosity of the coating fluid and the coating fluid contains or includes a resin, a curing agent, a surfactant, and an organic solvent.

Downhole methods for forming resin coatings on fracture surfaces

Treatment fluids comprising an aqueous base fluid and a gelling agent of selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, a hydroxypropyl starch phosphate derivative, and any combination thereof. The treatment fluids may be used to perform subterranean formation operations, such as fracturing operations and proppant particulate placement operations. The treatment fluids are self-breakable and provide viscosity for proppant particulate suspension without the use of breakers or crosslinkers.

Self-breakable treatment fluids for use in subterranean formation operations

A method of fracturing a subterranean formation wherein a silicate component and a silica precipitation agent are each mixed with the fracturing fluid. The fracturing fluid is introduced to a subterranean formation such that the fracturing fluid is allowed to precipitate silica and form micro-proppant particulates in situ in a microfracture. The silicate component can be selected from potassium silicate, sodium silicate and combinations thereof.

Various embodiments disclosed relate to proppant including a swellable coating thereon for treatment of subterranean formations. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation. The method includes placing in the subterranean formation a proppant including a coating thereon. The coating is swellable with aqueous medium in response to a trigger including acidic pH, CO, HS, or a combination thereof.

Of the methods provided herein, is a method comprising: providing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid, an inorganic oxidizer and an activator selected from the group consisting of N-acyl caprolactam based activators, substitutes benzoyl caprolactam based activators and mixtures thereof are provided; and preparing the treatment fluid for use in a down-hole operation, where the down-hole operation is either a gel breaking operation or a formation conditioning operation.
