A method of obtaining contextually relevant content by a wireless communications device is provided. The method may comprise obtaining, by a wireless communications device (WCD), a destination device identifying item, transmitting the destination device identifying item to a contextual content server, wherein the contextual content server determines one or more contextually relevant content items by processing the received destination device identifying item and a WCD location value, and receiving, from the contextual content server, at least one of the one or more contextually relevant content items.

Methods and devices provide a wireless communications hub device and services enabling remote access to electronic medical or fitness devices in a manner that simplifies device networking. A wireless communication hub device may include a processor and wireless communication transceivers configured to connect to cellular and/or WiFi networks to access a remote server, and wired and/or wireless local networks for connecting to electronic medical or fitness devices. A resource status associated with a plurality of resources used by the communication device may be weighed against a medical data criticality associated with the medical data managed by the communication device. The method may include allocating a resource of the plurality of resources on a sliding priority scale. A method includes receiving a distributed radio signal at a wireless communications device (WCD) from a first service provider. The method includes generating a bookmark associated with a first content item included in the distributed radio signal. The bookmark is generated based on radio application data when the WCD is radio-enabled, and the bookmark is generated based on pseudo-radio application data when the WCD is not radio-enabled. The method also includes transmitting the bookmark and a content request associated with the first content item from the WCD to a content source.

Providing for management of a dynamic mobile coupon (DMC) at a mobile device is described herein. Particularly, dynamic characteristics associated with the DMC, such as a redeemable value, can be utilized to browse, sort, search, recall, or redeem the DMC utilizing a user interface of the mobile device. In other aspects, a DMC management application can interact with server components to backup and store DMC data, synchronize dynamic information (e.g., a dynamic redeemable value), access or manage a user profile, interface with other mobile devices to accomplish sharing, trading, exchanging, selling the DMC, and so on. Accordingly, provided is an efficient and personable way to manage mobile coupons in a mobile operating environment and provide increased value and utility for a user of such coupons.

Providing for network-based management of dynamic mobile coupons (DMCs) employed in mobile device-related commerce is described herein. Management can include mitigating processing load involved in processing dynamic characteristics of a set of DMCs, facilitating post-transaction evaluation of DMCs, or facilitating a virtual shopping experience in conjunction with redeeming DMCs in a mobile-commerce environment. Communicative association between a mobile device and network components can be implemented to leverage data collected by the mobile device with communication and processing capabilities of the network.
