This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for operating a user equipment (UE) in a next generation (NG) radio access network (RAN) (NG-RAN) to validate a system information block (SIB) for non-public networks (NPNs). In one aspect, a UE receiving a SIB-one (SIB1) from a cell of the NG-RAN may determine whether the cell supports non-public networks (NPNs) based on the received SIB1. If so case, the UE may determine whether an NPN-identifier (NPN-ID) in the received SIB1 matches an NPN-ID of a SIB stored in memory. If so, the UE may validate the stored SIB based at least in part on the received SIB1. If not, the UE may invalidate the stored SIB and obtain a new SIB per standard procedures.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a first network entity. The method generally includes generating beam forming weights (BFWs) based on channel estimates (CEs) based on precoded demodulation reference signals (DMRS), performing a reversion procedure, on the BFWs, based on precoding applied at a user equipment (UE) when transmitting the precoded DMRS, and transmitting, on a fronthaul (FH), a signal to a second network entity with beamforming using the BFWs.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a fixed frame period (FFP) configured for the UE in a frame based equipment mode. The UE may refrain from transmitting over the unlicensed channel during the one or more idle periods. A first UE may receive one or more control signaling messages including first scheduling parameters for a common codeword associated with downlink data for the first UE and with downlink data for a second UE and one or more second scheduling parameters for a private codeword associated with additional downlink data for the first UE. The first UE may receive a physical downlink shared channel message including the common codeword mapped to one or more first layers of the physical downlink shared channel message and the private codeword mapped to one or more second layers of the physical downlink shared channel message. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for management of conditional handover (CHO) configurations. A source base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with one or more CHO configurations for multiple target base stations. The CHO configurations may provide, for each target base station, one or more associated conditions that may trigger the UE to initiate a handover to the particular target base station, or to deconfigure a CHO configuration, such as based on a measurement threshold of one or more target base station measurements, one or more source base station measurements, or combinations thereof. The CHO configurations may also include failure handling information for initiating one or more subsequent handovers responsive to a failure of an initial handover attempt.

Wireless communications systems and methods related to cross Component Carrier (CC) transmission are provided that assist in minimizing PAPR. A first wireless communications device repeats data across multiple CCs in order to increase coverage while maintaining power levels within approved limits. In order to reduce PAPR, a number of different methods and mechanisms may be used. Rate matching may be performed across the multiple CCs as though a single virtual BWP. Alternatively, each copy of the data on its separate CC may be modified differently in some way, such as by using different scrambling IDs or different redundancy versions. Additionally, when utilizing DFT-s-OFDM modulation, an alternative method is provided which may lower PAPR. The DFT method includes performing a DFT on the combined data, tone mapping to each of the carriers, and performing an IFFT for each carrier individually. Each IFFT may be different than the other.
