A system and method may provide for spatial and semantic auto-completion of an augmented or mixed reality environment. The system may detect physical objects in a physical environment based on analysis of image frames captured by an image sensor of a computing device. The system may detect spaces in the physical environment that are occupied by the detected physical objects, and may detect spaces that are unoccupied in the physical environment. Based on the identification of the detected physical objects, the system may gain a semantic understanding of the physical environment, and may determine suggested objects for placement in the physical environment based on the semantic understanding. The system may place virtual representations of the suggested objects in a mixed reality scene of the physical environment for user consideration.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for determining resource quality based on resource competition. In an aspect, a method comprises: for each of a plurality of resource locators: generating first value for the resource locator that indicates, for a plurality of first sets of search results that each include the resource locator, a number of occurrences of other resource locators that were impressed and not selected when the resource locator was selected; generating a second value for the resource locator that indicates, for a plurality of second sets of search results that each include the resource locator, a number of occurrences of other resource locators that were selected when the resource locator was impressed and not selected; and generating, based on a difference between the first value and the second value, an adjustment factor for the resource locator for adjusting a score associated with the resource locator during a search operation.

Determining resource quality based on resource competition

Implementations provide an interface for initiating actions related to content the user is viewing on a mobile device. A method includes performing recognition on content captured from a display of a mobile device and identifying a plurality of entities in the content. The method may include issuing a query for each of the plurality of entities, ranking the plurality of entities based on the search results, generating an action card for at least some of the highest ranked entities, and providing the action cards for display on the mobile device. Alternatively or additionally, the method may include determining at least one contact in a contacts data store that corresponds to an entity and generating an action card for the entity, the action card having a first action that uses first information from the contacts data store and a second action that uses second information from the contacts data store.

In one aspect, a method includes receiving a resource quality score for each of a plurality of resources linking to a site/ Each of the resources is assigned to one of a plurality of resource quality groups, each resource quality group being associated with a range of resource quality scores, each resource being assigned to the resource quality group associated with the range encompassing the resource quality score for the resource. The number of resources in each resources quality group is counted. A link quality score is determined for the site using the number of resources in each resource quality group. If the link quality score is below a threshold link quality score, the site is classified as a low quality site.
