A system to perform high speed passive serial configuration of an FPGA is disclosed. The system includes an MCU that includes an interface, an FPGA coupled to the MCU over the interface, and a flash memory coupled to the MCU and to the FPGA over the interface. The flash memory includes MCU firmware for the MCU and FPGA configuration data for the FPGA. To perform passive serial configuration of the FPGA, the MCU is operable to at least: configure the flash memory to an input/output (IO) mode, place the FPGA in a configuration mode, send a read command over the interface to the flash memory for the FPGA configuration data, and continuously provide a clock signal over the interface to the flash memory until the FPGA configuration data is entirely read.

High speed passive serial configuration of FPGA by MCU using quad or octal SPI flash

A system and method are provided for capturing a high resolution, high frame rate video using a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. Generally, the method involves transmitting a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) video including a number of video frames from a HDMI-source. Receiving the HDMI video and buffering and splitting each one of the video frames into a plurality of split video frames. Each of the split video frames is converted into a number of USB data packets. USB data packets from each of the split video frames are then interleaved to form a stream of USB data packets. The stream of USB data packets is coupled to a host system, which executes a program to stitch the USB data packets back together to reassemble each of the video frames, and order the video frames to restore or recreate the HDMI video.

System and method for high resolution, high frame rate video capture using a USB port

Systems and methods for translation and transmission of video and audio data over a first-in-first-out interface (FIFO) in a field programmable gate array (FPGA) are provided. The method includes receiving audio and video data including a number of video frames, each with a plurality of video lines separated by a line blanking interval. A first video line is translated and transmitted to a packet-based network through the FIFO in the FPGA while concurrently buffering the audio data in an audio buffer in the FPGA. Next, at least a portion of the audio data in the audio buffer is transmitted to the packet-based network through the FIFO during the line blanking interval separating the first video line from a second video line. Where video frames are separated by frame blanking intervals the method further includes transmitting through the FIFO any data remaining in the buffer after the preceding line blanking interval.

Certain embodiments include a system and method for positioning a patient with a patient positioning system. The system includes a patient positioning surface for supporting a patient. The system also includes a lift subsystem for adjusting elevation of the patient positioning surface, a longitudinal subsystem for moving the patient positioning surface in a longitudinal direction, a lateral subsystem for moving the patient positioning surface in a lateral direction, a tilt subsystem for tilting the patient positioning surface, and a rotation subsystem for rotating the patient positioning surface. The system further includes a control subsystem for controlling operation of the patient positioning system and a base affixed to a floor for securing the patient positioning system. The control subsystem may perform iso-center tracking to maintain a region of interest of the patient in an image area during tilt. The control subsystem may also avoid collision with the ground and/or predetermined objects.
