The present invention relates to preparations, particularly cosmetic and dermatological preparations, comprising aextract. In one embodiment, the extract includes licochalcone A. The preparations are useful for the treatment or prevention of rosacea. The invention also relates to methods of treating or preventing rosacea comprising applyingextract, particularly including licochalcone A. In one embodiment, theextract is part of a cosmetic or dermatological preparation.
