A method for producing a tube from metal is stated, by use of which method a metal strip by means of a drawing-off installation is moved in the longitudinal direction of said metal strip and is guided through a forming station in which said metal strip is formed to a slot tube having a slot running the in the longitudinal direction. The two edges of the metal strip abut to one another at the slot. Said two ends for producing a fully closed tube are welded to one another by use of a welding installation that is equipped with a laser. The slot tube after leaving the forming station is initially moved into the region of the laser and is then stopped. Thereafter, the regions of the edges of the slot tube that are to be welded to one another are pre-treated by the laser. Thereafter, the power of the laser is set to the welding power thereof that corresponds to the welding temperature, and by switching on the drawing-off installation the slot tube is simultaneously moved in the longitudinal direction of the latter.

Method for producing a tube from metal

Specified is an arrangement for supplying power to a motor vehicle which is equipped with an electric motor and in which there is arranged at least one rechargeable electric battery to which the electric motor is connected. The arrangement includes a stationary charging station which is equipped with an electric power source and to which an electric line having at least two mutually insulated electrical conductors is connected, a part of an electrical coupling for connecting to a complementary coupling part present on or in the motor vehicle being attached to the free ends of said electrical conductors, said coupling part being connected to the battery in an electrically conductive manner. The electric line is surrounded along its entire axial length by a thermally insulated and flexible tube made of metal which is closed all around and which, in addition to the line, encloses a cavity along its entire axial length. A flowable medium refrigerated to a temperature of at least &#x2212;160&#xb0; C. is contained in the space enclosed by the tube, and a thermally insulated storage tank containing a store of the refrigerated medium is arranged in the charging station, the tube being connected to said storage tank.

Arrangement for supplying power to a motor vehicle equipped with an electric motor

A pipeline to transport a frozen medium is indicated which has an outer transversely to its longitudinal direction undulated limiting pipe, arranged inside are at least one metal pipe for guiding the frozen medium as well as a cooling pipe composed of metal for guiding a second frozen medium. In the limiting pipe hollow areas are available for evacuation. Fitted inside the limiting pipe are at least two transversely to their longitudinal direction undulated metal pipes for guiding the frozen medium, which are each surrounded by a thermal insulation. During the operation of the pipeline the frozen medium is led in different directions through both the metal pipes. Attached around both the metal pipes and the cooling pipe is a pipe shaped closed sleeve composed of a thermally good conductive material that is in contact with the cooling pipe.

Flexible pipeline

An arrangement is specified having a superconducting cable (SK) which comprises a superconducting conductor () and a superconducting screen () which concentrically surrounds the same with the interposition of a dielectric (). The cable (SK) is surrounded by a cryostat (KR) enclosing a free space (FR) for a coolant to be passed through, which cryostat (KR) which cryostat comprises two metallic tubes () which are arranged concentrically with respect to one another and between which vacuum insulation is arranged. The screen () is composed of a superconducting material whose electrical resistance value in the normally conductive state is greater by a factor of at least 50 than the electrical resistance value of the material used for the conductor () in the normally conductive state.

Arrangement having a superconducting cable

A flexible pipeline for transporting a pressurized flowable medium, includes two pipes of metal which are corrugated transversely of their longitudinal direction, an inner pipe and an outer pipe which are arranged concentrically relative to each other with the inclusion of an annular gap. A vacuum insulation is arranged in the annular gap between the two pipes. On the other side of the inner pipe is mounted a tension proof reinforcement which is connected at both ends of the inner pipe fixedly to the inner pipe.

An arrangement for electrically conductively connecting two superconductive strip-shaped electrical conductors () having at least approximately the same width, where the two conductors () rest against each other with their end faces against each other in a connecting point (V). A strip () of superconductive material is soldered to the two conductors (), where the strip extends beyond both conductors so as to cover the connecting point (V). A strip () is used which has, only in the area of the connecting point (V) between the two conductors (), at least approximately the same width as the conductors, and where the strip narrows on both sides of the connecting point (V) and facing away from the connecting point (V).

Arrangement for electrically conductively connecting two superconductive conductors

A superconductive cable which has a cryostat with two concentric metal pipes where the cryostat has at least a first axial section with a first axial spring constant, and at least a second axial section which has a second axial spring constant which at most is 20%, more preferred at most 10%, of the axial spring constant of the first section.

System with a superconductive cable and a surrounding cryostat

A transmission system is provided with a superconductive cable having three phase conductors and a cryostat, surrounding the phase conductors, and encasing a hollow space, for conducting a cooling agent. For the three phase conductors, a common neutral conductor is provided, being made of electrically normally conducting material, carried out as insulating round conductor and placed outside the cryostat and next to it. The cryostat is made of a circumferentially enclosed, thermally insulated sheath.

Transmission system with a superconducting cable

An arrangement with at least one superconductive cable () is indicated which is arranged in a cryostat (KR) serving for guiding a cooling agent, wherein the cryostat (KR) includes at least one thermally insulated metal pipe. To the outside of the cryostat (KR) is applied an electrically well conductive material that is composed of at least two strands () which are wound one around the other with oppositely pitched direction around the cryostat (KR). The strands are connected fixedly and immovably to the cryostat (KR) at fixed points () mounted longitudinally spaced along an axial length of said cryostat.

Arrangement with at least one superconductive cable

A superconductive electric cable is provided in which a cable core is arranged in a cryostat, where the cable core is composed of three phase conductors arranged concentrically around an inner cooling duct, with an electric insulation arranged between the phase conductors, and where the cryostat is surrounded by an electric insulation, which is surrounded by a neutral conductor of normally conductive materials. In this cable, a neutral conductor or a screening is arranged only outside of the cryostat, and is formed by normally conductive material which surrounds the cryostat as a common neutral conductor, where an insulating material is arranged between this neutral conductor and the cryostat.

Superconductive cable

A system is specified having at least one superconducting cable (SK) which has at least one superconducting conductor (), and having a cryostat (KR) which surrounds the same and has two metallic tubes, an inner tube () and an outer tube (), which are arranged concentrically at a distance from one another, are corrugated transversely with respect to their longitudinal direction and between which vacuum insulation () is arranged. The cable (SK) has a central tubular support () for passing a coolant through, on which the superconducting conductor () rests. The cable (SK) is surrounded all around by a buffer layer () which protects the same against mechanical damage and consists of insulating material, and the inner tube () of the cryostat (KR) at least rests in a sealed manner on the buffer layer ().

System having at least one superconducting cable

A superconductive electric cable is provided at least one superconductive conductor having strips or wires, which are wound in at least one layer around a carrier constructed as a pipe. The pipe is elastically deformable in a radial direction with changeable diameters and has a gap extending in a straight line along a circumferential line of the pipe over its entire length.

Superconductive electric cable

An arrangement is provided having a superconductive cable (SK) which consists of a superconductive conductor () and a superconductive screen () that encloses the latter with the interposition of a dielectric () and which is enclosed, with the inclusion of a free space (FR) for conveying a refrigerant, by a cryostat (KR) which consists of two metal tubes () arranged mutually concentrically, between which vacuum insulation () is arranged. Outside the screen (), a tubularly closed layer () of a ferromagnetic material is provided over the entire length of the cable (SK). It is preferably arranged on the outer circumference of the cryostat (KR).

Arrangement having a superconductive cable

An arrangement of a two-phase superconducting cable as a power supply cable in two-phase power distribution networks for electric railways include two phase conductors which are arranged coaxially with respect to one another and are separated from one another by an inner dielectric. A cryostat, with the superconducting cable arranged therein, has two tubes which run co-axially and at a distance from one another with vacuum insulation between them, where in addition to the superconducting cable, the cryostat surrounds a free space for a coolant to be passed through, and where an outer dielectric is fitted over the outer phase conductor of the superconducting cable.

Use of a two-phase superconducting cable as a power supply cable

A superconducting cable system in which at least one superconducting electrical cable is arranged in a cryostat which consists of two metallic tubes, which are arranged concentrically and at a distance from one another. Vacuum insulation is fitted in the circumferential gap formed by the distance between the tubes, which vacuum insulation consists of spaces composed of a material having low thermal conductivity and plastic films coated with a metal and having high reflectivity. The gap is evacuated. In addition, thermally insulating material () is arranged in the gap, and its thermally insulating characteristics are independent of the vacuum which is produced between the two tubes ().
