The invention relates to a gear device for a motor vehicle, as is used, for example, for adjusting a camshaft in a combustion engine in order to influence the phase angle between crankshaft and camshaft. Such gear devices have to be constructed compactly and also have to have high resistance to wear, in particular upon reaching end stops during adjustment of the phase angle. For this purpose, the gear device has hydraulic end stop damping by the drive unit and the output unit having communicating cavities.

A harmonic drive, more particularly in an electromechanical camshaft phaser, comprises a drive element (), a flexible transmission element () connected to the drive element () and having external teeth (), and an output element () that is designed as a ring gear and has internal teeth () that partially mesh with the external teeth (). The flexible transmission element () is pot-shaped, and is coupled in a torque-transmitting manner to the drive element () radially inside the outer teeth ().

Harmonic drive and method for producing harmonic drive

A strain wave gear, in particular for an electromechanical camshaft adjuster, comprises a housing element, an internally toothed drive element connected thereto in a rotationally fixed manner, an elastic, externally toothed gear element, and an internally toothed output element. The drive element has positive locking elements with which it is connected to the housing element.

An elastic gear wheel for a harmonic drive has a cylinder portion with tooth, and a flange which is integrally designed with the cylinder portion. The flange has recesses for fastening, and through-apertures for fastening.

A harmonic drive is provided that comprises a wave generator, a flexible, externally toothed gear element that can be deformed by said wave generator, and at least one internally toothed gear component which meshes with the flexible, externally toothed gear element. Device for variably adjusting the control times of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine

A device for varying the angular position of a camshaft relative to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The device has a drive element, which is driven by the crankshaft via a gearwheel and which is supported so that it can rotate in relation to the camshaft. The device also has at least two hydraulic chambers, to which a hydraulic fluid can be admitted in order to set a defined relative rotational position between the drive element and the camshaft, formed between the drive element and the camshaft. In order to produce an optimum axial support of the camshaft in terms of weight and cost, the gearwheel form a bearing face for the axial contact of the camshaft or of a component rotationally fixed to the latter.

Device for varying the angular position of a camshaft relative to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine

A clamping disk () for the non-positive connection of components in a cam adjusting system, a cam adjusting system () having a clamping disk () and a method for checking the mounting of the clamping disk () are provided. The clamping disk () has an essentially circular base body () which has at least one friction surface for a contact partner. The base body () is axially penetrated by a material recess (). The mounting of the clamping disk () can be controlled in a simple manner by distance measuring.

A camshaft adjuster () having a stator () and a rotor () located in the stator (), having vanes () that are each located in a chamber () formed between the stator () and the rotor (), each of the vanes () dividing its respective chamber () into two partial chambers, and pressurized oil being adapted to be supplied to each of the partial chambers and conducted out from each of the partial chambers via oil channels (), so that through the pressurized oil a torque can be exerted on the rotor () by which the rotor () can be rotated, so that a camshaft adjustment can be set thereby. The rotor () is constructed from a metallic base frame () that has, axially adjacent, a casing () made of plastic in which at least one of the oil channels () is formed.

Camshaft adjuster

A device for varying the relative angular position of a camshaft () with respect to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The device has a drive element which is driven by the crankshaft via a gearwheel and which is mounted rotatably with respect to the camshaft. Between the drive element and the camshaft, there is at least two hydraulic chambers which can be acted upon with a pressure fluid in order to set a defined relative rotary position between the drive element and the camshaft.

Device for varying the angular position of a camshaft with respect to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine

A control time adjusting device which adjusts the phase position of a camshaft with respect to an upstream drivetrain that drives the camshaft. The device has a hub element and a bell element which is coupled to the hub element in a variably adjustable manner with regard to the rotary phase position. The adjusting angle range is defined by stop structures. Additionally, adjusting cells, which are separated by radial webs and vane elements, are situated in an intermediate space between the hub element and bell element. The position and the peripheral length of the device, which is definitive for the pivoting travel of the adjusting cells and the arrangement of the vane elements with respect to one another, are adapted such that at least two different-sized adjusting angle ranges can be defined as a function of the assignment of the vane elements to the adjusting cells.

Control time adjusting device

A device for variably adjusting the control times of gas-exchange valves of an internal combustion engine. The device has a drive input element and a drive output element, The drive input element is placed in driving connection with a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine, the drive output element is arranged so as to be pivotable with respect to the drive input element, and the device is fastened to a camshaft which has a hollow shaft and an inner shaft which is arranged concentrically with respect to the hollow shaft. An improved mounting arrangement of the concentrically arranged shafts with respect to one another is proposed.

Device for variably adjusting the control times of gas-exchange valves of an internal combustion engine

A timing adjustment device with axially joined components, clamped by a camshaft central screw on a hub element which maintains the required peripheral position of these components relative to one another within a narrow tolerance range. On a disk element of the timing adjustment device an insert section is formed, which can be inserted into a recess formed in the hub element and, in the region of the insert section, at least one anchoring structure is formed, through which the insert section is anchored on a counter-structure, which is provided by the hub element.

Timing adjustment device for an internal combustion engine

A control valve () for a device for variably setting the control times of gas exchange valves () of an internal combustion engine (). Two working ports (A, B) and one supply port () are formed on an outer casing surface of a valve housing () of the control valve (), the working ports (A, B) are arranged directly adjacent one another, and the supply port adjoins them. Further, two pressure medium ducts () are formed on the control piston (), at least one of the pressure medium ducts () is embodied so that it is not rotationally symmetric with respect to a longitudinal axis () of the control piston ().

A camshaft adjuster () for an internal combustion engine is provided, in which the relative angular position between a driving gear () and an output element that is allocated to the camshaft can be adjusted by hydraulically impinging pressure chambers located between an inner and outer rotor. The outer rotor and the gear ring of the driving gear () are joined to each other via fastening elements (). In order to create a particularly compact camshaft adjuster (), the fastening elements are located at least in part at a distance from the longitudinal axis of the camshaft adjuster () which is smaller than the external radius () of the pressure chambers.
