A support element is provided for the mutual bracing of a fuel injector in a valve seat of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine and a fuel-distributor line. The support element is formed such that the forces acting on the fuel injector act only in the axial direction and have no radial component.

A fuel injector-spark plug combination includes a fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and a spark plug with a spark-plug insulator, the spark plug having a first electrode, and a second electrode for igniting the fuel injected into the combustion chamber. The fuel injector and the spark-plug insulator of the spark plug are arranged at a biaxial offset in a respective receiving bore of a shared connecting member inserted in a recess of a cylinder head.

Fuel injection valve spark plug combination

A compensating element for a fuel injector, insertable into a receiving bore of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, is provided with a rigid first ring configured to be circumferentially placed against the fuel injector. A rigid second ring is configured to be inserted into the receiving bore. An elastic intermediate ring, positioned between these rigid rings, is permanently joined to the rigid first ring and the rigid second ring.

A fuel injector-spark plug combination comprises a fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and a spark plug with a spark-plug insulator, a first electrode and a second electrode for igniting the fuel injected into the combustion chamber. The fuel injector includes an actuator cooperating with an actuation device, which is in force-locking, operative connection to a valve needle, the valve needle, or a valve-closure member connected thereto, cooperating with a valve-seat surface to form a sealing seat. The valve needle of the fuel injector and the spark-plug insulator of the spark plug are positioned in a shared housing at a biaxial offset.

A fuel injector-spark plug combination includes a fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, and a spark plug for igniting the fuel injected into the combustion chamber, and has a spark-plug insulator including a first electrode, and includes a second electrode. The fuel injector and the spark-plug insulator of the spark plug are each disposed in a recess of a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. The fuel injector and the spark-plug insulator of the spark plug are fixedly held in place in a shared connecting member arranged outside of the cylinder head.

Fuel injection valve with integrated spark plug

A fuel injection valve for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, in particular for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve has a magnet coil, an armature that can be pulled by the magnet coil in a direction of lift against a first return spring, and a valve needle. The valve needle has a first stop surface for the armature, which can be moved relative to the valve needle. The armature is acted upon by a second return spring. In addition, a stationary second stop surface for the armature is provided. The second return spring acts upon the armature in a direction opposite to the lift and in an inoperative position, when the magnet coil is not energized, and holds the armature in contact with the second stop surface so that a distance between the armature and the first stop surface provided on the valve needle is predefined.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a core which serves as the internal pole is made of a soft magnetic powder composite material. This powder composite material is an iron powder provided with a polymer additive, where the individual iron particles are coated with an electrically insulating layer. Such a powder composite material ensures a substantial minimization of eddy currents in the magnetic circuit in comparison with materials known previously, such as chromium steel, which are usually used as magnetic materials. The core which is mechanically sensitive and is sensitive to fuel is encapsulated at least with respect to the parts of the injection valve carrying the fuel. A sleeve passes through an internal longitudinal opening in the core which permits fuel flow in its interior and is fixedly attached to a pole part which seals the core toward the bottom. The core and the magnetic coil are thus not exposed to any wetting by fuel. This fuel injection valve is especially suitable for use in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines with mixture compression and external ignition.

A thermal insulating sleeve for a fuel injection valve, which can be inserted in a mounting hole of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, has a sleeve body which at least partially envelops a nozzle body of the fuel injection valve. At the injection end of the sleeve body there is a folded-back section, in which the sleeve body has a two-layered configuration, and there is a conical section, which tapers in the direction toward the injection end and which in the assembled state fits tightly against the tapered section of the nozzle body.

Thermal insulating sleeve

A fuel injection valve, in particular a high-pressure injection valve for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of a compressed mixture, externally ignited internal combustion engine, has in a guide and seat area provided at the downstream end of the valve which area is formed by three disk-shaped elements. A swirl element is nested between a guide element and a valve seat element. The guide element, which can move radially in the assembled valve and which has an inner guide opening, serves to guide an axially movable valve needle which extends through it, while a valve closing section of the valve needle acts in concert with a valve seat surface of the valve seat element. The guide element is spring-loaded through a compression spring which acts upon it.

Mounting device for a fuel injection valve

A fuel injection valve includes at least two throttling constrictions. The fuel is guided in so that it flows through one of the throttling constrictions with a flow component directed away from the spray orifice. Thus, at least partially compensating opposing force is exerted on the valve needle or an element (e.g., an armature) with a non-positive connection to the valve needle.

The invention is directed to an arrangement for detecting the position of an accelerator pedal and/or a power-determining element of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. The arrangement has at least two measuring devices as well as monitoring means which check the function of these measuring devices on the basis of the measuring signals thereof. In addition, a further measuring device in the form of a switch element is provided which likewise generates a signal representative of the position of an accelerator pedal and/or power-determining element of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. A microcomputer selects on the basis of all three measuring signals at least one of the measuring signals for controlling the drive power of the engine in a motor vehicle.
