A system includes a compressor. The compressor has a center body and an end cap coupled to the center body at a connection interface. The system also includes a sealing system. The sealing system includes an annular duct circumferentially extending along a connection interface between the center body and the end cap. The sealing system also includes a conduit coupled to the annular duct. The system further includes a vacuum source in fluid communication with the annular duct via the conduit. In an operational state of the vacuum source, the vacuum source is configured to generate a vacuum in the annular duct to direct gases leaking through the connection interface in the annular duct.

System and method of sealing compressor

Systems and method for operating a gas compressor are disclosed herein. A compressor can have one or more dry gas seals surrounding the central axle of the compressor. The dry gas seals can each be pressurized with a barrier gas or other fluid supply providing a barrier within the dry gas seal. The method can include controlling delivery of a first barrier gas to the one or more dry seals during a startup or initiation of the compressor. The method can include controlling delivery of a second barrier gas different from the first barrier gas to the one or more dry seals based on the information received from sensors disposed within the compressor that can measure, inter alia, dry seal temperature and pressure within the system. The method can further include terminating the delivery of the first barrier gas based on the sensor information.

A fluid compression system is disclosed. The fluid compression system may include a first compressor disposed in a first fluid conduit, a first valve disposed in the first fluid conduit upstream of the first compressor, a second valve disposed in the first fluid conduit downstream of the first compressor, a second compressor in fluid communication with the first compressor and configured to selectively pump fluid from the first compressor.

A gas turbine engine system includes a gas turbine engine using vaporized liquefied gas as fuel. The gas turbine engine is configured to ingest intake air from an intake port and direct exhaust gases to an exhaust port. The gas turbine engine system also includes a heat exchanger with a heat transfer fluid therein. The heat exchanger is configured to create at least a part of the fuel by heating the liquefied gas. The gas turbine engine system also includes an intake air temperature control circuit. The intake air temperature control circuit includes conduits configured to direct the heat transfer fluid to the intake port and the exhaust port. The gas turbine engine system also includes a control system configured to selectively direct the heat transfer fluid to one of the intake port and the exhaust port.
