A hydrogen fuel tank mounting system for a vehicle comprises a first mount for mounting a first portion of the fuel tank in a fixed position and a second mount for slidably mounting a second portion of the fuel tank. In this manner, the mounting system reduces stress on fuel system components when accommodating expansion and contraction of the hydrogen fuel tank, improving durability. The fuel tank may be a dual port fuel tank, and the first and second portions may be elongated neck portions. The fixed mount may be a bracket formed in two portions with a clearance between them. A sleeve may extend through at least part of the portions of the brackets to distribute shear forces away from an interface between those portions. The provision of a slidable mounting also allows pre-assembly of the fuel tank and mounts, facilitating installation of the hydrogen fuel system.

Hydrogen fuel tank mounting system

A tank assembly for a motor vehicle includes an axially extending compressed gas tank having a middle portion and axially terminal end portions, and a tank support configured to fasten the compressed gas tank to a vehicle body. The tank assembly has a guard device that catches the compressed gas tank in the event the tank and/or support become partially or fully detached from the vehicle. A guard support is configured to secure the guard device to the vehicle body. A retaining element forms an axial stop for a first end portion, and at least one pliable tension element, which extends axially and connects the retaining element to the guard support in a tension-transmitting manner.

Tank assembly for a motor vehicle

A cutting tool for undercutting a bore in a component includes a shaft portion and at least one tangentially and axially cutting portion. The shaft portion extends in an axial direction relative to the component and has a maximum shaft radius. The cutting portion projects radially with respect to the shaft portion further than the maximum shaft radius. Each cutting portion includes a tangentially arranged lateral cutting edge configured to form a tangentially extending groove in the component. At least one cutting portion has a front cutting edge arranged axially at a front end thereof and configured to form an axially extending groove in the component.

A fuel cell system having a fuel cell stack in a housing includes a compressor that provides compressed ambient air to the fuel cell stack and a ventilation system coupled to a suction side of the compressor to provide ventilation of the housing and cool an associated voltage monitoring unit that may be located within the housing or upstream of the housing. The ventilation system may control a valve to supply air from the compressor outlet to the housing to warm the housing and stack when either or both have a temperature below an associated threshold. The ventilation system may include a second valve to control exhaust from the housing based on the temperature of the housing or stack. Stack exhaust may drive a turbine coupled to the compressor. A heat exchanger may be positioned to cool compressed air from the compressor before flowing to the stack.

Methods and systems are provided for a hybrid vehicle. In one example, a system comprises a first magnetic transmission configured to output power from a rotor shaft to a coolant pump and a second magnetic transmission configured to output power from the rotor shaft to an air-conditioner.

In one example, a hybrid module for arrangement on an internal combustion engine, which is configured for starting the internal combustion engine, includes an electric motor, for generating a torque, and an output element connected in a torque-transmitting manner to the electric motor and positioned on an output axle, for transmission of the torque to a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine. According to the disclosure, the hybrid module has a magnetic transmission, wherein the torque of the electric motor is transmitted via the magnetic transmission to the output element.

A battery housing for a lithium-ion battery of a motor vehicle for arrangement in the engine compartment of the motor vehicle includes at least one structural mechanically stable outer shell having a number of walls corresponding to the shape of the battery, at least one layer of solid thermal insulation material for protecting the battery from thermal effects from the area of the internal combustion engine, at least one first slot, which can be connected to air lines leading to the surroundings, and at least one second slot, which can be connected to lines associated with at least one cooling system of the vehicle.
