A weapon barrel of an automatic firearm contains a muzzle that is set into flexural oscillations by firing, with a damping device for damping the flexural oscillations by frictional processes between a radially projecting friction ring disposed on the muzzle and at least one friction element loaded by of a spring element. Wherein at least one friction element loaded by a separate spring element acts on both sides of the friction ring respectively and is supported so as to be axially movable relative to the muzzle.

Weapon barrel

A separating device is integrated in ammunition, with which a line is separated at the earliest possible time during a firing process. The separating device is composed mainly of a piston, which preferably has a sharp edge, is guided in a rigidly mounted cylinder, and, in the unloaded state, is positioned by a shear flange. The cable is preferably securely supported in a protective tube which is connected with a propellant charge primer, and in which the cable is guided as far as the tip of the propellant charge primer and is then further guided to the rear end of the projectile. In the upper area of the cylinder, the cable is guided through a bore, which preferably lies transversely to the direction of acceleration of the piston, so that when the piston moves forward, the cable is separated by the sharp edge of the piston.

One of the rotating connector assemblies is positioned on the propellant charge igniter and provided with a connection to the electrical line section that is oriented at an angle to the axis of rotation of the rotating connector assembly.

In an infantry grenade (5) the fragmentation effect is enhanced in that a cup portion (7) of a ductile steel--which serves to receive an explosive charge (9)--has at its periphery in a substantially cylindrical longitudinal portion (25) a pre-notched fragmentation arrangement (28, 29) and in a rounded longitudinal portion (26) ball-type fragmentation portions (32). The entire fragmentation arrangement is enclosed by a plastic shell (17).

A delivery apparatus (11) for full-calibre submunitions or the like payloads (12) which are coaxially stacked in its load space (19) results in a system which operates in a fault-free manner when, for ejecting the payloads (12), detachment of the load space (19) from the rocket motor (17) disposed therebehind and detachment of the ogive (14) from the opposite end of the load space (19) are each promoted by a pyrotechnic charge (28, 31), with the load space (19) being braked as a result of being positioned transversely beside the trajectory (26) of the separated motor (17) which flies further along the trajectory and past the load space in a stable configuration and with the load space (19) only then being turned by a braking parachute (23) connected to its end (22). The load space tail (18) which thereafter then faces forwardly in the direction of flight is opened by detachment of a cover (25) and the load space (19) is pulled away from the payload stack (12--12) by means of the braking parachute (23).

A ballistic projectile including a subcaliber-sized penetrator which is coaxially carried in the casing of the projectile, and in which the penetrator additionally carries an explosive charge. The projectile possesses a proximity fuze at its tip which electrically triggers a penetrator-propellent charge which is arranged in the projectile base and which fills the volume of the projectile base, which accelerates the penetrator through a therebetween arranged propellant base, and in which the penetrator additionally possesses an impact detonator.

Projectile

A guidance mechanism for a subcaliber-sized fin-stabilized practice projectile including wings or vanes which are radially fixedly arranged on the shank of the projectile. The wings or vanes possess auxiliary vanes which extend transversely of their main axes, and wherein a hole which is produced in a target board by the fin-stabilized practice projectile corresponds, in general, with the diameter of a circle about which the auxiliary vanes are located on the projectile.

An explosive missile or projectile assembly which possesses a projectile body and a ballistic hood which is positioned in front of the projectile body, wherein the hood encompasses a head end portion of the projectile body, and which includes an explosive charge arranged within the projectile body and a base detonator. An in-depth effect and fragmentation effect comes into bearing in the direction of firing, in that fragments are arranged intermediate the head end portion of the projectile body and the ballistic hood, and in which the projectile body is equipped with performed fragments.
