A vehicle door adjustment unit for a motor vehicle sliding door, having a deflection device for deflecting a rope for automatically opening and/or closing the motor vehicle sliding door. The vehicle door adjustment unit comprises the rope and a first deflection roller and a second deflection roller, in particular having a U-shaped or V-shaped rope receiving profile, wherein a first deflection axis of the first deflection roller and a second deflection axis of the second deflection roller are substantially oriented perpendicular to one another.

The invention relates to a drive of a sliding door of a motor vehicle comprising an electric drive unit (), a drive cable () and a guide () for the drive cable (). Said drive unit (), the drive cable () and the guide () are fixed in the vehicle body (K) and the sliding door can be moved by means of the drive cable () with respect to the vehicle body. At least one sub-assembly () of the guide () of the drive cable () is modular and the drive cable () can be deflected by the modular sub-assembly ().

A ball-and-socket joint as an engagement point for a driving element, having a ball head and a socket with a bearing opening, wherein the ball head has a pin for limiting the pivoting of the ball head in the bearing opening, wherein the ball head together with the pin is at least partially arranged in the bearing opening, and wherein at least one damping element is arranged in the bearing opening in such a manner that contact of the pin with the socket is prevented during the pivoting of the ball head.

Ball-and-socket joint as engagement point for a driving element of a locking system

A motor-vehicle door latch has a metallic mounting plate, latching elements mounted on the plate and operable to secure a door carrying the latch in a closed position, a latch mechanism connected to the elements for operating same, and a plastic housing. The housing has a part fixed to the metallic mounting plate and a cover surrounding the mechanism and elements and formed with a plurality of mounting pockets. A plurality of conductors imbedded in the cover have exposed ends at least some of which are exposed in each of the pockets. An electrical drive unit fixed in one of the pockets of the housing is connected to the exposed ends in the respective pocket and is connected to the mechanism. At least one switch operable by the mechanism is mounted in another of the pockets and connected to the exposed ends in the respective pocket.
