In an exemplary embodiment, an ultrasonic applicator for line-by-line ultrasonic scanning supplies echo signals to a device for displaying a layer image. The aim of the disclosure is to produce an imaging system which does not cause any coupling problems in any position of the application location; in addition, application should also be possible, in particular, in the chest area for obtaining subcostal sectional images. This aim is achieved by a line-by-line scanning applicator being also additionally pivotally or rotatably mounted, for the purpose of oscillation or rotation of the scanning surface, about such an oscillating-or rotating-axis, e.g. over a specifiable angular range and by a motor drive, with the applicator being firmly assigned to the selected application location during the angular movement.

Ultrasonic-image device

The circuitry comprises directing circuits for producing, and superimposing on an image of a body displayed by such display equipment, a guide image beam; the position of which guide image beam can be adjusted to lie in a desired direction with respect to such a body image in order to provide information to facilitate operation of such a puncturing device, to puncture the body substantially in the said desired direction.

Device for punctuating internal body organs, vessels or the like

An exemplary embodiment comprises an ultrasonic applicator for line-by-line ultrasonic scanning and a picture tube, for example, a television monitor for the visible echo image. The echo lines developing from the ultrasonic applicator are alternately stored in alternating memories and read out to the picture tube. The reading-out ensues singly or multiply in such reading-out times as correspond to the line sweep time of the picture tube. An imaging apparatus is desired which, in addition to direct reproduction, also renders possible the reproduction of stored ultrasonic images given the smallest technical outlay while doing without extravagant image memories. This is achieved in that, in addition to the alternating memories, at least one echo line auxiliary memory is present which is connectable to the signal path between the ultrasonic applicator and the alternating memories for rolling-in current echo lines of an ultrasonic image and for later reading-out of stored lines via the alternating memories to the picture tube. The invention is employed, above all, in ultrasonic tomographic diagnostics.

Ultrasonic imaging apparatus operating according to the impulse-echo

Apparatus for feeding liquids, particularly medications such as insulin, or the like, to humans or animals comprising a supply reservoir for the liquid, a conveying arrangement connected to the supply reservoir and including a pressure generating device for feeding the liquid by pressure application from the supply reservoir to the body, and a controllable dosing arrangement for producing a desired rate of infusion. The pressure generating device includes an overpressure generator which constantly maintains the liquid present in the supply reservoir under overpressure as distinct from the pressure prevailing at the point of liquid discharge. The dosing arrangement comprises a pilot or switching valve for periodically releasing liquid from the supply reservoir to the body, the switching valve being switchable for the purpose of fine dosing by the discharge of preselectable constant volumes of liquid at periodic intervals predeterminable in accordance with the treatment program.
