In one embodiment, a multi-transceiver RF signal processing system comprises: a controller; a DPD core and CFR engine; and a plurality of transceiver paths comprising at least a first transceiver path for a first frequency block, and a second transceiver path for a second frequency block. The first frequency block is adjacent to the second frequency block. Signal processing outputs a stream of digital RF based on wireless RF signals received into the first and second transceiver paths. Signal processing inputs a first stream of digital RF and outputs a first digital RF signal corresponding to the first frequency block to the first transceiver path, and outputs a second digital RF signal corresponding to the second frequency block to the second transceiver path for wireless transmission via the at least one antenna. The DPD core applies a distortion that covers the first and second frequency blocks.

Systems and methods for multi-transceiver radio frequency signal processing systems

In one embodiment, a RF signal repeater switchable between SISO and MIMO comprises: a controller; a first transmitter path switchably coupled to first donor and coverage antennas; a second transmitter path switchably coupled to second donor and coverage antennas; a first receiver path switchably coupled to the first donor and coverage antennas; a second receiver path switchably coupled to the second donor and coverage antennas. The controller configures the repeater for a MIMO TDD operating mode by: configuring the first transmitter path and the second receiver path to repeat at least a first MIMO channel of UE uplink RF signals and at least a first MIMO channel of base station downlink RF signals; and configuring the second transmitter path and the first receiver path to repeat at least a second MIMO channel of UE uplink RF signals and at least a second MIMO channel of base station downlink RF signals.

Systems and methods for reconfigurable repeaters for wireless telecommunications

In an example, a receiver protection circuit includes a directional coupler configured to be coupled to a receive signal path of a communications device between an isolation device and an amplifier of the receive signal path. The receiver protection circuit further includes a power detector coupled to the directional coupler and configured to measure a power level of a transmit leakage signal in the receive signal path. The receiver protection circuit further includes a comparator configured to compare the measured power level of the transmit leakage signal in the receive signal path to a threshold value and output an alarm signal indicating that the measured power level of the transmit leakage signal exceeds the threshold value.

Indirect reflection detection for receiver circuitry protection in TDD transceivers

A method is provided. The method, comprises: power amplifying, with at least two parallel power amplifiers, at least two pre-distorted signals each corresponding to a unique transmit band, wherein each power amplifier operates in a unique transmit band; and pre-distorting, with a single pre-distortion system, at least two signals in different transmit bands, where the pre-distortion of each of the at least two signals is based upon a portion of a corresponding power amplified, pre-distorted signal, and where the pre-distortion diminishes certain IMD products in the corresponding power amplified, pre-distorted signal.

Systems and methods for RF hazard protection are provided. In one embodiment, a RF protection coupler comprises: a first port to couple to an output of an RF source circuit; a second port to couple to an external RF load; a source side and load side RF switches, wherein the source side RF switch and the load side RF switch are each switch between a first and second states in response to a detected matting. In the first state the source and load side RF switches establish an electrical path between the first and second ports. In the second state: the source side RF switch couples the first port to an impedance load that is impedance matched to the output of the RF source circuit; the load side RF switch couples the second port to an electrical ground; and a gap between the switches electrically isolates the ports.

Systems and methods for radio frequency hazard protection for external load connections

A method comprises: measuring reflected and forward power at a power amplifier output; determining if the reflected power equals to or exceeds a first level; if the reflected power is equal to or exceeds the first level, then reduce power of a power amplifier input signal; determining if a standing wave ratio at the power amplifier output equals or exceeds a second level; if the standing wave ratio at the power amplifier output equals or exceeds the second level, then reducing the power amplifier input signal power level and/or sending an alarm; determining if the power amplifier output power equals or exceeds a third level; and if the power output from the power amplifier equals or exceeds the third level, then reducing the power amplifier input signal power level until such power level is less than or equal to the third level and/or sending an alarm.
