A suction apparatus for cleaning purposes includes a container, a suction subassembly, a filter element arranged in a container interior, and a pumping subassembly, where a mixture of a carrier fluid and particles of dirt can be taken in via a suction inlet and the particles of dirt are restrained by the filter element. The filter element is a filter bag through which the mixture is taken in by the suction subassembly. A filter bag restraining part subdivides the container interior into a filter bag accommodating space and a fluid delivery space, where the filter bag is arranged in the filter bag accommodating space and is prevented, by the filter bag restraining part, from expanding into the fluid delivery space, from which carrier fluid flowing around, or through, the filter bag restraining part is delivered by the pumping subassembly.

Suction apparatus for cleaning purposes

A method for cleaning first and second filters of a suction device for cleaning purposes is provided. The suction device has a dirt collection container with a suction inlet. The dirt collection container is subjected to negative pressure via first and second suction lines, respectively, following the first and second filters. First and second closing valves close first and second external air inlets, respectively, into the first and second suction lines. For cleaning the filters, the closing valves are opened, subjecting the filters to external air on the clean space side. The dirt collection container is subjected to negative pressure via the first suction line and first filter by a first suction unit and via the second suction line and second filter by a second suction unit. The suction lines are sealed off relative to each other on the clean space side at least during the cleaning of the filters.

Method for cleaning two filters of a suction device for cleaning purposes and suction device for performing the method

The invention relates to a mobile floor-cleaning appliance having a housing in which a cleaning tool is mounted, and having a handle holder which is mounted on the housing and is adapted to be connected to a handle in order to guide the appliance along a floor surface which is to be cleaned. In order to develop the mobile floor-cleaning appliance such that the handle holder can be reliably arrested in a rest position and can easily be transferred from the rest position into an operating position, it is proposed according to the invention that the handle holder is adapted to be pivoted about two pivot axes oriented obliquely or perpendicularly in relation to one another and is adapted to be arrested in a rest position, at least one arresting element being associated with each of the two pivot axes, for arresting the handle holder, wherein it is possible to eliminate the arresting action on the handle holder in relation to the two pivot axes by virtue of the handle holder being pivoted as desired out of the rest position about one of the two pivot axes.
