A method and device for fitting an angular contact roller bearing, including an inner bearing ring having an inner race arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the inner bearing ring and inclined with respect to the axis of rotation of the bearing, and a rim delimiting said race at the smallest diameter thereof, an outer bearing ring having an outer race arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the outer bearing ring and inclined with respect to the axis of rotation of the bearing, and a rim delimiting said race at the greatest diameter thereof, and also including a plurality of roller bearing elements arranged between the bearing rings and roll on the races and are held at uniform distances from one another in the circumferential direction by a bearing cage. The outer peripheral surface of the inner bearing ring and the inner peripheral surface of the outer bearing ring are in each case cylindrical and extend outside the races at least in some sections coaxially with respect to the axis of rotation of the bearing, and the races of both bearing rings are in each case integrated conically into the cylindrical peripheral surfaces, such that the rims which are produced and in each case delimit the races on one side are in each case formed in one piece with the bearing rings. Angular contact roller bearings are disclosed. The bearing may include an inner bearing ring with an inner raceway, which is arranged on the outer shell surface of said inner bearing ring so as to be oblique with respect to the bearing axis of rotation (AL), and comprising a rim which delimits said raceway at its smallest diameter. Tapered roller bearings and methods of producing the same are disclosed. One method is for producing an inner ring for a tapered roller bearing in which the inner ring comprises a raceway portion and a fixed edge portion. The method may include providing an inner ring blank and an unfinished fixed edge portion. The inner ring blank may include an unfinished raceway portion and the unfinished fixed edge portion may have a larger outside diameter than the unfinished raceway portion. The inner ring blank may have a through-opening. The inner ring blank may be formed into the inner ring by extrusion in a main forming step, the unfinished fixed edge portion being transformed into the fixed edge portion and the unfinished raceway portion being transformed into the raceway portion. The inner ring may be formed in its final contour without any cutting.

Bearing assemblies, such as angular contact bearing assemblies, and methods of producing the same are disclosed. One angular contact ball bearing may include an inner ring and an outer ring, the inner ring having an outer raceway and the outer ring having an inner raceway. A plurality rolling elements may be arranged between the outer raceway and the inner raceway. The outer raceway may be formed by an extrusion of the inner ring and/or the inner raceway may be formed by an extrusion of the outer ring. The raceways may be extruded in their final contour, without any cutting.

Angular contact ball bearing having a cold-formed bearing ring, and a method for manufacturing a bearing ring of said angular contact ball bearing

A radial bearing configured as a single-row spherical roller bearing is provided that includes an inner and outer bearing ring, and rollers arranged between the bearing rings. The rollers have two side faces which are flattened symmetrically from a spherical base shape, and roll in two groove-shaped raceways which are defined by two axial rims. The width of the rollers between their side faces is at least 70% of the diameter of the spherical base shape and is greater than the distance between the axial rims. The rollers are in full linear contact with their running faces in the bearing rings at an operational pressure angle of up to 25&#xb0; on both sides of the bearing longitudinal axis. The distance between radially opposite axial rims when the bearing rings are arranged eccentrically to each other is less than the diameter of the spherical base shape of the rollers.
