A wood screw, having a shaft, a screw tip, and thread turns. The thread turns run circumferentially on at least a portion of the shaft, preferably through or into a screw tip. The wood screw includes at least one arc-shaped protrusion between at least two adjoining ones of the thread turns.

A screw has a shaft section which extends axially, a screw thread at the shaft section, which screw thread has thread turns that extend radially starting from the shaft section, a screw tip section which connects to the shaft section, at least one first scraping edge at the screw tip section, and at least one second scraping edge in a region of the shaft section adjacent to the screw tip section. The at least one first scraping edge and the at least one second scraping edge are spaced at a distance from each other and extend in an axial direction over different areas of the screw.

A method for integrally forming a drilling tip on a wire nail, in particular in order to produce a screw with the aid of a pair of pinching jaws, provides for the bulge formed by the displaced material during the integral forming of the drilling tip to be sheared off the drilling tip along the entire length of the cutting edges of the drilling tip produced and to be left connected to the drilling tip only along the longitudinal side edges of the latter by a predetermined breaking point.

Apparatus for making available tools and materials contains a frame, which is formed from a lower frame element and uprights fixed thereto. Closed storage containers for tools and materials can be individually fitted to the frame. The storage containers can be matched to the specific use. The apparatus contains at least three bearing points, which are preferably formed by rolls or wheels.

A resectoscope has a shaft and a lock body which is slidable along the shaft and to which the proximal end portion of a resection electrode can be fixed. A handle is provided for displacing the lock body and thus the electrode along the shaft. The handle consists of a first portion connected to the lock body and projecting radially outwardly of the lock body and a second portion connected to the shaft, for engagement by a thumb of the user of the resectoscope. The first portion of the handle is formed as a disc provided with gripping aids for the user's fingers.
