The invention relates to a device for performing respiratory training, in particular altitude training, comprising a mouthpiece () through which a person can exhale respiratory gas into a volume () or can inhale it out of the volume (), wherein this volume () is formed at least in part by a container () which is adjustable in terms of its volume and which is connected to the mouthpiece, wherein the volume () adjoins one side of at least one gas-permeable membrane (), to the other side of which at least one gas exchange chamber () is connected, through which a fluid provided for the gas exchange, in particular COand/or Ogas exchange, can actively flow. Device and method for performing respiratory training

A device is provided for transferring mass and/or exchanging energy between two media, particularly between blood and a gas/gas mixture. The device includes a chamber (), through which the first medium flows and inside which at least one mass-permeable and/or energy-permeable hollow fiber (), preferably a plurality of mass-permeable and/or energy-permeable hollow fibers (), is/ are arranged. The second medium can flow through the at least one hollow fiber (), while the first medium can flow therearound. At least one pumping element (), which allows the first medium to be displaced from the chamber () and/or to be sucked into the chamber (), is disposed in the chamber () of the device.
