A device and a method for the separation of elongated parts (long parts) from bulk materials. The device comprises a conveying device (), a deflecting device () and a rake with webs () being oriented longitudinally to the conveying direction. According to the method, the bulk material is transported on the conveying device (), and then long parts () are oriented by means of a deflecting device () transversely to the conveying direction. After passing through the deflecting device (), the transversely oriented long parts are transferred to the rake () and discharged as coarse materials (). Compact parts () fall through this rake and thus end up in the fine material ().

Method and device for separation of long parts

Bulk sorting using a bulk sorting machine that comprises a conveying means (), an exciter () for generating a separating force, a splitter () with a blade, and a sensor () that senses the particles hitting the blade. The signal generated by the sensor () is used to optimize the result of the separation process.
