The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling a motor vehicle having an integrated electric machine which generates electric as well as mechanical power. In the context of a hierarchal control structure having several logic components, the electric machine is allocated as a component &ldquo;electric drive&rdquo; to the component &ldquo;drive&rdquo; with respect to its function for generating mechanical power and as a component &ldquo;generator&rdquo; to the component &ldquo;vehicle electric drive&rdquo; with respect to its function for generating electric power.

Method and arrangement for controlling a vehicle

A motor vehicle data processing apparatus includes an operating data acquisition device for acquiring at least one operating data value, in particular engine speed, engine load, and the like, while the vehicle is in operation. The motor vehicle data processing apparatus also includes an operating data processing device for processing the acquired operating data and storing corresponding processed operating data in an associated storage device, and an action determination device for examining the stored processed operating data and determining the need to execute a predetermined action as a function of an examination result according to a predefined criteria.

A computer system for controlling the operation of a drive of a motor vehicle includes a plurality of different predetermined components each including at least one functional unit. Process and device for controlling the frequency of a traveling wave

The analyzer circuit includes a first oscillator producing an output signal having a first frequency depending on an inductance of an inductive position sensor having two oscillator coils positioned near a movable part; a switching device in the first oscillator for alternatingly connecting one of the two coils and simultaneously disconnecting the other according to a state of the switching device; a frequency divider for converting the output signal at the first frequency to another output signal at another frequency; a counter for counting a pulse signal under control of the other output signal of the frequency divider; a second oscillator connected to the counter and providing input pulses at a fixed frequency to the counter, which counts the input pulses under control of the other output signal of the frequency divider; a start synchronizing circuit for starting and synchronizing the divider and the counter; a flip-flop connected to the frequency divider and to the switching device to switch the state of the switching device; and an arithmetic-logic unit connected to the counter to receive a count from it and having a device for generating a digital output signal characteristic of a position of the movable part relative to the oscillator coils according to the count.

Control arrangement

Backwards counters (11,12) are preset with upper and lower limits of the angle through which screws are to be driven, the counters being loaded when a certain value of torque is reached, at which time counting down begins with each increment of rotary angle. When the operation is completed in the usual way after reaching a limit value of torque, the increasing interval between count pulses is detected by a delay circuit (7) and counting is stopped. A logic circuit (15) shows whether the screw connection is satisfactory or whether it is underdriven or overdriven.
