It is a matter of a container assembly with at least one stackable container () which has a bottom part () and a lid () mounted on top thereof Several containers () may be so stacked that the lid () of the lower container () is located between two bottom parts (). The container () is equipped with at least one connecting device () which has coupling means () mounted movably on the lid () of the container (). The coupling means () are movable, for the connection of two containers () mounted one above the other, into a connected position relative to the lid (), in which they are simultaneously in connecting engagement with the bottom parts () of both stacked containers ().

Stackable container assembly with reciprocal locking of the stacked containers

It is a matter of a container assembly with at least one stackable container () which has a first engaging structure () on its top side () and a second engaging structure () on its underside (). The engaging structures () are so matched to one another that, when two containers () are stacked together, they engage in one another in such a way that the containers are secured against shifting relative to one another at right-angles to the stacking direction and at the same time the upper container is prevented from lifting at least in certain areas. The first engaging structure () consists of engaging recesses () and the second engaging structure () of engaging projections (). Feet () provided on the underside () of the container () are designed as elements of the second engaging structure () and are able to engage the first engaging structure () from the rear, to prevent lifting of the upper container at least in certain areas.

A portable container () is proposed, with a container body () which has a top (), facing upwards in a first container alignment. A movable carrying handle () provided on the container body () may be moved from a not-in-use position close to the container body () into a position of use, so that it may be used to carry the container in the first container alignment. Also formed on the top () is an immovable additional carrying handle () formed by a side wall of a recess () which has an engaging recess () in which the fingers of one hand may engage in order to carry the container () in a second container alignment with its top () oriented to the side.
