A method and an arrangement are disclosed for synchronizing on-screen display functions during analog signal reception in a terminal arrangement that is capable of receiving both digital and analog video signals. There are provided means () for generating on-screen display objects. Coupled to said means for generating on-screen display objects, there are synchronization pulse generation means () for controlling the generation of on-screen display objects. Comparison means () are used for comparing synchronization pulses generated by said synchronization pulse generation means () with a synchronization signal obtained () from an analog video signal. The result of said comparing as a controlling signal is conveyed () to a process () of generating said synchronization pulses.

Method and arrangement for synchronising on-screen display functions during analog signal reception

An electronic apparatus is used for synchronizing a data stream synchronized with a first clock signal with a second clock signal. It comprises a plurality of parallel latches wherein successive states of the data stream are written cyclically in synchronization with the first clock signal into the parallel latches and wherein the states written into the parallel latches in synchronization with the second clock signal are cyclically read. The apparatus also indicates the validity latch.

Method and apparatus for synchronizing a data stream

An arrangement for transferring information between the secondary and primary circuit of a transformer wherein control information is transferred to the primary circuit of a power transformer by means of auxiliary windings in the same transformer. The auxiliary windings are arranged in pairs in the transformer core branches in such a manner that the magnetic fluxes (&PHgr; ) do not induce a voltage in the energy-transferring windings (pw , pw ), and the voltages induced in the auxiliary windings by the magnetic flux (&PHgr; ) corresponding to the energy transfer are opposite both in the primary-side winding pair (cw , cw ) and in the secondary-side winding pair (cw , cw ). Thus the transfer of a control signal and the transfer of energy will not disturb one another. The transformer may be implemented as a planar structure on a printed circuit board.
