Various embodiments for a customized asset performance system and marketplace are described herein. An embodiment operates by receiving asset data indicating one or more assets that are being monitored by a control system. Telemetry data for at least a first asset is received, the telemetry data including data corresponding to a previous functionality of the asset over a specified period of time. The telemetry data is compared to an expected functionality over the specified period of time. A problem with the first asset is identified based on the comparing. One or more software packages that are configured to address the problem with the first asset are identified based on comparing the telemetry data to an expected functionality of the first asset over the specified period of time. A selection of a first software package from the one more software packages is received and the selected first software package is updated.

Customized asset performance optimization and marketplace

A process of evaluating and reducing outages in a power plant comprises acquiring analytical data for a power plant and its components, acquiring failure modes regarding power plants, identifying and categorizing the acquired failure modes in association with the components of the power plant at various levels, evaluating and ranking the significance of each of the identified failure modes based on the analytical data, evaluating and ranking the analytical coverages of the identified failure modes based on the analytical data, and ranking and evaluating the components based on the significance and the analytical coverages of their associated failure modes. Based upon the determined significance and analytical coverages of identified failure modes, a power plant owner is able to evaluate the performance of a power plant at various levels, identify analytical gaps in reducing outages of the power plant, and enhance the performance of the power plant.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an apparatus including: a controller communicatively coupled to a power generation system and configured to shift the power generation system between a first operating mode and a second operating mode, the second operating mode being different from the first operating mode; and a economic optimization engine in communication with the controller, wherein the economic optimization engine calculates: an economic benefit for shifting the power generation system from the first operating mode to the second operating mode based on at least one of a power generation demand, a power generation cost, and an operating condition of the power generation system; and a billing rate per unit of time of operation in the second operating mode based on at least one of the economic benefit, an operating difference between the first operating mode and the second operating mode, and a predetermined cost differential.

The present application and the resultant patent provide a gas turbine engine system. The gas turbine engine system may include a gas turbine engine, a water wash system, and a system controller. The gas turbine engine may include a compressor, a combustor in communication with the compressor, and a turbine in communication with the combustor. The water wash system may be in communication with the gas turbine engine and configured to remove contaminants therefrom. The water wash system may include a number of valves configured to control flows through the water wash system, and a number of sensors configured to measure operating parameters of the water wash system. The system controller may be in communication with the valves and the sensors and operable to automatically control the valves upon receiving operating parameter signals from the sensors in order to perform a wash of the gas turbine engine.

The system may include one or more turbine blades, a turbine casing encompassing the one or more turbine blades, a thermoelectric element disposed at least partially about the turbine casing, a cooling system in communication with the thermoelectric element, and a controller in communication with the cooling system and the thermoelectric element. The controller may be operable to control the expansion or contraction of the turbine casing by heating or cooling at least a portion of the turbine casing with the thermoelectric element and by adjusting the cooling system such that a clearance between the one or more turbine blades and the turbine casing is adjusted.

A system includes a radiation sensor configured to direct a field of view toward at least one conduit along a fluid flow path into a heat exchanger. The radiation sensor is configured to output a signal indicative of a temperature of the at least one conduit. The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the radiation sensor. The controller is configured to determine the temperature based on the signal, to compare the temperature to a threshold range, and to adjust a fluid flow through the fluid flow path or the at least one conduit if the temperature deviates from the threshold range.

The system can include a computer processor. The system can also include a memory operable to store computer-executable instructions operable to: receive data from the one or more power plant sensors; reconcile detected errors within the data from the one or more power plant sensors; calibrate the one or more power plant sensors based at least in part on the detected errors within the data; generate at least one performance model based at least in part on the reconciled data from the one or more power plant sensors; detect anomalies within the at least one performance model; and tune the at least one performance model to account for the anomalies.

An embodiment of the present invention provides a water wash system that may mix a cleaning fluid with at least one chemical agent to form a cleaning solution.
