A voltage regulator includes an error amplifier configured to amplify a difference between a feedback voltage and a reference voltage. The regulator also includes an N-type metal-oxide-semiconductor (NMOS) driver circuit. The driver circuit includes an n-type field effect transistor. The driver circuit is communicatively coupled to output of the error amplifier. The regulator further includes a feedback circuit communicatively coupled between the NMOS driver circuit and an input of the error amplifier to provide the feedback voltage.

An integrated circuit including a low drop out (LDO) regulator configured to implement transient response and loop stability in a capacitor-less configuration, including an error amplifier configured to receive a bandgap reference input; first and second pass elements configured to receive outputs from the error amplifier; first and second resistor feedback networks, the first resistor network configured to provide a feedback output as an input to the error amplifier; an overshoot protection circuit; and an output connected to the pass transistors; wherein the capacitor-less low dropout (LDO) regulator is operable without an output capacitor.

A temperature sensor peripheral generates an output voltage that is proportional to temperature, whose temperature coefficient can be adjusted to any desired value, whose temperature coefficient can be either positive or negative, whose room temperature voltage can be adjusted to any desired value, and whose temperature coefficient and room temperature voltage adjustments are independent from one another.
