Apparatus, systems and associated methods includes an isochronous communication device and a co-located asynchronous communication device, where the isochronous communication device and the asynchronous communication device share a common radio frequency spectrum. Also includes is a coexistence bus coupled between the isochronous communication device and the asynchronous communication device to transmit isochronous data information to the asynchronous communication device, where the isochronous data information includes an isochronous interval and a duration of isochronous data for transmission within the isochronous interval. The asynchronous communication device is configured to reserve the common radio frequency spectrum for the duration of the isochronous data transmission, and to aggregate asynchronous data for transmission within the isochronous interval after the duration of the isochronous data transmission.

Coexistence of isochronous communication device with co-located asynchronous communication device

A method can include an integrated circuit device, determining if first communication circuits are operating in a first mode that wirelessly receives data at a first rate or a second mode that wirelessly receives data at a second rate that is lower than the first rate. If the first communication circuits are operating in the second mode, transmitting signals with the second communication circuits at a first power level, and if operating in the first mode, transmitting signals with the second communication circuits at a second power level that is lower than the first power level. In the first mode, X symbols per data bit are received and in the second mode, Y symbols per data bit are received, where X<Y. Corresponding devices and methods are also disclosed.

A method can include, by operation of first communication circuits, determining a quality of a plurality of communication frequencies according to wireless communications of a first protocol type; recording a quality of the communication frequencies; selecting communication frequencies for use by second communication circuits based on the quality of the communication frequencies; and wirelessly transmitting and receiving data with the second communication circuits according to a second protocol different than the first protocol; wherein the first and second communication circuits are collocated on the same device. Devices, systems and methods for selecting communication protocol transmission frequencies

Systems, methods, and devices enable coexistence of traffic for collocated transceivers. Methods may include generating a target-wake-time (TWT) agreement based on availability of a first transceiver and a plurality of wireless devices. Methods also include generating a medium access schedule for the first transceiver using a first transmission protocol based on transmission events determined based on a second transmission protocol of a second transceiver, the second transceiver being collocated in the same device as the first transceiver, and the medium access schedule being a TWT schedule including active times for the first transceiver and each of the plurality of wireless devices determined based on a timing and duty cycle of the second transmission protocol and activity of the second transceiver. Methods also include transmitting the TWT schedule to the plurality of wireless devices, the TWT schedule identifying the one or more active times to the plurality of wireless devices.

Implementation of traffic coexistence for collocated transceivers including Bluetooth transceivers

A method can include selecting a channel from a network operating according to a first protocol (e.g., an IEEE 802.11ax channel). Designating at least one portion of the channel as a shared resource unit (RU) and another portion as a dedicated RU. When an associated device is communicating according to a different protocol (e.g., a Bluetooth standard), allocating frequencies of the shared RU for use by the associated device and allocating the dedicated RUs for use by the network operating according to the first protocol.

A device can have collocated communication circuits and operate in a parallel mode if selected first wireless channels are above a certain quality, and operate in a time division (TD) mode if the selected first wireless channels are below a certain quality. The parallel mode can include using first channels for a first protocol that do not overlap a second channel used by a second protocol. The TD mode can include first time periods in which a first protocol uses first channels that overlap the second channel, while the second protocol is inactive, and second time periods, in which the first protocol is inactive and the second protocol is active.

A method can include at a combination device, receiving or generating a slot availability mask (SAM) information compatible with a Bluetooth and/or Bluetooth Low Energy (BT) standard; by operation of BT compatible circuits of the combination device, determining a schedule of BT compatible data transfers in response to at least the SAM information; and by operation of circuits compatible with at least one IEEE 802.11 wireless standard (WLAN circuits), determining a schedule of WLAN compatible data transfers in response to at least the SAM information. Methods may include generating, using a processing device, a target-wake-time (TWT) agreement, the TWT agreement being determined based on availability of a first transceiver and a plurality of wireless devices. The methods may also include generating, using the processing device, a medium access schedule for the first transceiver based on a transmission parameter of a second transceiver, the second transceiver being collocated with the first transceiver and sharing a transmission medium with the first transceiver, and the medium access schedule being a TWT schedule. The methods may further include transmitting the TWT schedule to the plurality of wireless devices, the TWT schedule identifying a plurality of wake times and a plurality of sleep times to the plurality of wireless devices.

A method can include receiving frequency hop configuration data for a first wireless communication protocol via a second wireless communication protocol in second communication circuits; and configuring first communication circuits to communicate according to the first communication protocol with frequency hopping indicated by the frequency hop configuration data; wherein the first communication circuits and second communication circuits are formed in a same combination device. Devices, systems and methods for transmitting protocol configuration information between multi-protocol devices

An example system and method monitor a wireless transmission medium for packets of a first protocol type with first communication circuits of a device while yielding the medium for communications of a second protocol type by second communication circuits of the device. Responsive to the first communication circuits detecting a packet of the first protocol type while the medium is yielded to the second communication circuits, the system and method requests access to the medium for the first communication circuits and in response to granted access to the medium, uses the first communication circuits to execute a data transmission operation according to the first protocol. Responsive to completing the data transmission operation by the first communication circuits the system and method yield the medium back to the second communication circuits.

Devices, systems and methods for increasing data throughput in wireless device with shared medium

A method can include receiving a timing signal that is part of a first communication protocol; by operation of a master device operating according to a second communication protocol, determining event timing windows for a plurality of slave devices of the master device; and by operation of the master device, transmitting control packets to the slave devices, adjusting clock values in the slave devices to sequentially order the event timing windows within an event group window; wherein the event window is timed according to the timing signal. Example systems and methods of a wireless device use first communication circuitry of the wireless device to determine a first signal level associated with a first radio frequency signal and use second communication circuitry of the wireless device to determine a second signal level associated with a second radio frequency signal. Systems and methods generate a sensitivity adjustment value based on the first signal level and the second signal level, and use the sensitivity adjustment value to process a combined signal comprising the first radio frequency signal and the second radio frequency signal.
