Methods include identifying, using a processing device, an assertion of a radio frequency (RF) active signal, canceling activity of a first transceiver in response to identifying the assertion of the RF active signal, the RF active signal being associated with a second transceiver collocated with the first transceiver, and generating, using the processing device, a network allocation vector (NAV) reset signal in response to identifying a de-assertion of the RF active signal, the NAV reset signal resetting a timer of a wireless device comprising the first transceiver and the second transceiver.

Systems, methods, and devices for protection management-based coexistence enhancement in wireless devices

Systems, methods, and devices implement coexistence enhancement for collocated wireless transceivers. Methods include determining, using a processing device, a latency parameter associated with a wireless device comprising a first transceiver compatible with a first communications protocol and a second transceiver compatible with a second communications protocol. Methods also include identifying, using the processing device, a number of anchor points based, at least in part, on the latency parameter, each of the anchor points representing a periodic connection event for the second transceiver. Methods include identifying one or more conditions indicating aperiodic activity will occur at a first radio, the first radio being a wireless radio compatible with a first wireless communications protocol, and receiving, at a second radio, timing information associated with the first radio via an interface between the first radio and the second radio, the second radio being a wireless radio compatible with a second wireless communications protocol, the first radio and the second radio being collocated in a wireless device. Methods include determining, using a processing device comprising processing elements, a transmit power for a first transceiver of a wireless device, and determining, using the processing device, a coding rate for a second transceiver of the wireless device based, at least in part, on the determined transmit power, the first transceiver being collocated with the second transceiver. Enhanced transmission medium usage for collocated wireless devices

The embodiments described herein are directed at techniques to sharing a transmission medium in a Bluetooth transceiver/WLAN transceiver combination device. A first device may receive a request from a second device to use the wireless transmission medium. The second device may also transmit timing data to the first device. The first device may determine a period of time to allow the second device to use the wireless transmission medium based on the timing data.

One example of a device includes a Bluetooth transceiver, a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) transceiver, and a controller. The WLAN transceiver is proximate the Bluetooth transceiver. The controller is communicatively coupled to the Bluetooth transceiver and the WLAN transceiver. The controller is configured to adjust a cell size of the WLAN transceiver or the Bluetooth transceiver to reduce interference between WLAN transceiver traffic and Bluetooth transceiver traffic.

Methods also include generating a medium access schedule for the first transceiver using a first transmission protocol based on transmission events determined based on a second transmission protocol of a second transceiver, the second transceiver being collocated in the same device as the first transceiver, and the medium access schedule being a TWT schedule including active times for the first transceiver and each of the plurality of wireless devices determined based on a timing and duty cycle of the second transmission protocol and activity of the second transceiver. Methods also include transmitting the TWT schedule to the plurality of wireless devices, the TWT schedule identifying the one or more active times to the plurality of wireless devices.

Implementation of traffic coexistence for collocated transceivers including Bluetooth transceivers

A method includes receiving an absence schedule and storing the absence schedule in a memory. The absence schedule indicates a plurality of absence periods during which a group owner device in a wireless network will be unavailable for receiving transmissions in a frequency band. The method further includes controlling a primary radio transceiver of a wireless device based on the absence schedule, receiving a first request from a secondary radio transceiver of the wireless device to transmit a first wireless message in the frequency band, and granting the first request in response to determining based on the stored absence schedule that a transmission time of the first wireless message is within one of the plurality of absence periods.

Systems, methods, and devices that enable coexistence of traffic for collocated transceivers are described herein. In an example embodiment, a method may comprise: receiving a QuietIE request from a wireless device communicatively coupled to a first transceiver; generating, using a processing device, a QuietIE schedule for the first transceiver and the wireless device based on a transmission parameter identifying one or more transmission times designated by a transmission protocol of a second transceiver, where the second transceiver is collocated with the first transceiver and shares a transmission medium with the first transceiver, and where the QuietIE schedule identifies a plurality of quiet periods and a plurality of available periods to the wireless device; and transmitting the QuietIE schedule to the wireless device.

Methods may include generating, using a processing device, a target-wake-time (TWT) agreement, the TWT agreement being determined based on availability of a first transceiver and a plurality of wireless devices. The methods may further include transmitting the TWT schedule to the plurality of wireless devices, the TWT schedule identifying a plurality of wake times and a plurality of sleep times to the plurality of wireless devices.

Methods may include generating, using a processing device, a medium access schedule for at least a first transceiver based on a transmission parameter of a second transceiver, the second transceiver being collocated with the first transceiver and sharing a transmission medium with the first transceiver, and the medium access schedule comprising a QuietIE schedule. Methods may also include identifying a plurality of wireless devices communicatively coupled to the first transceiver. Methods may further include transmitting the QuietIE schedule to the plurality of wireless devices, the QuietIE schedule identifying a plurality of quiet periods and a plurality of available periods to the plurality of wireless devices.
