Technologies for multi-core wireless data transmission include a computing device having a processor with multiple cores and a wireless network interface controller (NIC). The computing device establishes multiple transmission queues that are each associated with a processor core. A driver receives a packet for transmission from an application in the execution context of the application, determines a current processor core of the execution context, adds metadata to the packet indicative of the current core, and enqueues the packet in the transmission queue associated with the current core. The wireless NIC merges the packet with packet data from the other transmission queues, adds a sequence number to each packet, and transmits each packet. The wireless NIC may determine the current processor core based on the metadata of the packet and raise an interrupt to the current processor core in response to transmitting the packet. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Technologies for multi-core wireless network data transmission

Some embodiments herein include at least one of systems, methods, and devices for power-efficient data transfer between two communicating devices. The two devices establish two wireless links between each other; the first link using a low-power/low-throughput protocol and utilized to maintain a second link, the second link using a high-power/high-throughput protocol. When first device data is available for transmission, the first device instructs the second device via the first link to switch to the second link for data reception. The first device then transmits data to the second device via the second link. When the transmission is complete, both devices switch back to using the first link to maintain their connection to each other. In some embodiments, the first device may be a Human Interface device and the second device may be a Bluetooth controller of a computing device.

Power-efficient wireless data transfer

Disclosed in some examples is a method including receiving a downlink data packet over a first wireless link using a first wireless protocol during communications over a second wireless link using a second wireless protocol the first and second wireless protocols being different; and sending a control packet in response to the downlink data packet over the first wireless link using a reduced power setting during the communications over the second wireless link, the reduced power setting being less than a non-control packet power setting.
