An automotive liquid pendulum vane pump includes a pump housing, a rotor ring with circular undercut recesses, a rotor hub with vane slots, and pendulum vanes which connect the rotor ring and the rotor hub. Each vane slot has a substantially plane contact wall slot with a tangential contact nose in an opening region and a diving recess. Each pendulum vane has a circular pendulum head which defines a pendulum hinge which corresponds to a circular undercut recess, a circular pendulum foot which is radially shiftable and pivotable in a vane slot, a vane leg which connects the circular pendulum head and the circular pendulum foot, and a contact path with a contact path surface which contacts the tangential contact nose in a rotational contact sector. A radial inner end of the contact path surface defines an inner tangential projection which temporarily dives into the diving recess.

Automotive liquid pendulum vane pump

A vacuum pump for pumping a gas includes a pump housing which defines a pump cavity, a shiftable vane, a pump rotor body, a separate axial rotor retaining arrangement, and a radial friction bearing. The pump housing includes a closed housing wall. The pump rotor body includes a vane slit which supports the shiftable vane to define rotating pumping chambers, an axial low-pressure end which is axially supported by the closed housing wall so that a gas pressure inside the pumping chambers is present at the low-pressure end, and an axial high-pressure end. The pump housing is fluidically open at the axial high-pressure end so that atmospheric pressure is present. The axial rotor retaining arrangement includes a retaining sheet body arranged in a transversal plane which axially in part blocks the axial high-pressure end. The radial friction bearing is arranged axially between the vane slit and the axial high-pressure end.

Automotive vacuum pump

A mechanical automotive vacuum pump includes a housing with a housing cylindrical bearing surface. A pumping chamber is arranged in the housing. A pump rotor which includes a rotor body having a rotor body bearing section and a chamber section is rotatably supported by the housing. A radial vane slit is arranged at the chamber section. A rotor body cylindrical bearing surface is arranged at the rotor body bearing section. The rotor body bearing section includes a circular lubrication ring groove. A radially shiftable pump vane is supported in the radial vane slit. A friction bearing is defined by the rotor body cylindrical bearing surface and the housing cylindrical bearing surface. The housing cylindrical bearing surface includes a lubrication inlet opening which lies in a same transversal plane as and opposite to the circular lubrication ring groove. The lubrication inlet opening is directly connected to a lubricant pump connector.

Vacuum pump with rotor shaft supported by friction bearings

A vacuum pump includes a pump rotor comprising a rotor body, a housing arrangement, a slidable pump vane, and a backing support cone structure. The rotor body comprises a vane slit, a conical ring, a coupling-sided end portion, and a vane-sided end portion. The housing arrangement comprises a static conical ring corresponding to the conical ring. The slidable pump vane is supported in the vane slit. The backing support cone structure is arranged at a front end of the vane-sided end portion and is defined by the conical ring of the rotor body and the static conical ring of the housing arrangement. A coupling structure and a single radial bearing are each arranged at the coupling-sided end portion of the rotor body and a radial bearing is not arranged at the vane-sided end portion of the rotor body so that the rotor body is radially supported cantilevered.

Mechanical automotive vacuum pump with cantilevered rotor

A fluid pump includes an input shaft, a pumping unit comprising a pump rotor, and a clutch arranged between the input shaft and the pump rotor. The clutch comprises at least two input clutch disks, at least two output clutch disks, a permanent magnet element, and an actuator. The at least two input clutch disks and the at least two output clutch discs together define at least two clutch liquid gaps which are filled with a magneto-rheological clutch liquid. The permanent magnet element shifts between an engaged position wherein a magnetic field of the permanent magnet element penetrates the at least two clutch liquid gaps with a high magnetic flux, and a disengaged position wherein the magnetic field of the permanent magnet element is less than in the engaged position. The actuator moves the permanent magnet element between the engaged position and the disengaged position.

Mechanical combustion-engine-driven fluid pump with a magneto-rheological multi-disk clutch

A mechanical combustion-engine-driven fluid pump includes an input shaft driven by a combustion engine, a pumping unit comprising a pump rotor, and a clutch arranged between the input shaft and the pump rotor. The clutch comprises an input clutch body, an output clutch body, an electroconductive element, a permanent magnet element, and an actuator. The clutch transfers a rotation of the input clutch body to the output clutch body in an engaged clutch state. The closed clutch liquid gap is formed between the input clutch body and the output clutch body, and is filled with a magneto-rheological clutch liquid. The electroconductive element co-rotates with the output clutch body. The permanent magnet element co-rotates with the input clutch body and is shiftable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The actuator moves the permanent magnet element between the engaged position and the disengaged position.

Mechanical combustion-engine-driven fluid pump

A pneumatic brake assistance arrangement includes a vacuum brake assistance unit comprising a vacuum chamber, and a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump comprises an input shaft, a pumping unit, and a magneto-rheological clutch. The pumping unit comprises a pump rotor and a suction port connected to the vacuum chamber. The magneto-rheological clutch comprises an input clutch body, an output clutch body, a closed clutch liquid gap, a permanent magnet element, and a pneumatic control circuit. The permanent magnet element shifts between an engaged and a disengaged position. The pneumatic control circuit moves the permanent magnet element between the engaged and the disengaged position. The pneumatic control circuit comprises a pneumatic actuation chamber comprising a piston and a passive pretension element. The pneumatic actuation chamber is connected to the vacuum chamber. The piston shifts the permanent magnet element into the engaged position when a high pressure exists in the vacuum chamber.

Pneumatic brake assistance arrangement

A variable displacement lubricant pump for providing a pressurized lubricant for an internal combustion engine includes a shiftable control ring. The control ring comprises a plurality of pump chambers and a pressure relief valve. The plurality of pump chambers rotate through a charge zone and a discharge zone. A pump rotor comprises radially slidable vanes. The pump rotor rotates in the control ring. A pretensioning element pushes the control ring to a high pumping volume direction. A first control chamber pushes the control ring to a low pumping volume direction. A second control chamber pushes the control ring to the high pumping volume direction. A pump outlet is connected to the first control chamber. A throttle valve connects the first control chamber with the second control chamber. The pressure relief valve of the control ring connects the discharge zone to the second control chamber.

Variable displacement lubricant pump

A variable-displacement oil pump wherein between a projection of a mobile ring and a corresponding driving chamber and between a protrusion (again of the mobile ring) and a corresponding guiding seat, respectively, there are placed corresponding devices adapted to decrease the effects of the friction between the projections on the mobile ring and the corresponding seats obtained on a main body of the pump itself.

Variable-displacement vane oil pump

A fluid injector has an actuator unit, a cartridge, which has a recess, which on one of its open ends forms an injection nozzle and takes in a needle. The needle has a first and a second part (). The first part () is inserted into the recess and closes or opens the injection nozzle depending on the position of the first part (). The second part () is coupled to the actuator unit on one of its free ends and is coupled to the first part () via a coupling unit. The coupling unit is arranged in positive connection to the first part () and is joined to the second part. In that way the material for the first part may be chosen for being highly wear resistant. On the other hand the material of the second part () may be chosen for being well-suited for a joining process.

Fluid injector

A fluid injector has a housing, a valve body and an actuator unit inserted into the housing. The valve body has a cartridge with a recess that takes in a needle. The valve body further has a hollow body arranged in a fixed position to the needle and forming a first spring rest. The valve body further has a valve cap, which takes in the cartridge and forms a second spring rest. A return spring rests on the first spring rest and on the second spring rest. The valve cap, the housing and the cartridge are formed such, that before the valve cap and the housing and the valve cap and cartridge are permanently fixed to each other the valve cap is moveable relative to the housing and the cartridge while the housing and the cartridge stay in a fixed position relative to each other.
