A non-liquid immersed transformer includes a magnetic core and a coil winding forming a plurality of winding turns around the magnetic core; a cooling system and a first conductive connector. The cooling system includes a cooling pipe for the flow of a cooling fluid, the cooling pipe extending along the coil winding and including a first point adjacent to a turn of the coil winding, and a second point adjacent to another turn of the coil winding. The conductive connector is arranged at one of the first and second points, to electrically connect an inner side of the cooling pipe with a turn of the coil winding.

Non-liquid immersed transformer

Dry-type transformers with insulating modules are disclosed. Example insulating modules include dielectric screens and supporting blocks. The supporting blocks support the dielectric screens over windings of the transformer. The dielectric screens have first substantially even portions configured to adapt in spaces defined by corresponding cylindrical barriers arranged between first and second windings of the transformers and second substantially even portions, transversal to the first portions and to the first windings of the transformers and extending outwards from the first portions and beyond the supporting blocks. The dielectric screens partly extend around a winding.

Insulating transformers

A non-liquid immersed transformer including a magnetic core having a winding axis and at least two coil windings wound around the magnetic core along the winding axis. One or more cooling tubes made of dielectric material are arranged inside at least one of the coil windings to cool down the coil winding using dielectric fluid flowing through the dielectric cooling tubes. Each cooling tube is wound continuously forming one or more complete loops around the core.

Non-liquid immersed transformers with improved coil cooling

Non-liquid immersed transformers and methods of measuring aging degree of the transformers' insulation are disclosed. The transformers comprise a solid insulation inside the conductive coil and one or more floating electrodes in the solid insulation. At least a part of the conductive coil and the one or more floating electrodes may form one or more capacitive elements, respectively. An electrical parameter, e.g. complex permittivity, of the capacitive element is measured and the aging degree is calculated as a function of the electrical parameter measurement.

Insulation of non-liquid immersed transformers

A high voltage winding for a single electrical phase of a high voltage electromagnetic induction device, wherein the high voltage winding comprises: a first winding part, and a second winding part, wherein the first winding part comprises: a first conductor, a first solid electrical insulator circumferentially enclosing the first conductor, and a first semi-conductive sheath circumferentially enclosing the first solid electrical insulator, wherein the first semi-conductive sheath is earthed or connected to an electric potential that is lower than a rated voltage of the high voltage winding, and wherein the second winding part comprises: a second conductor, and a second solid electrical insulator circumferentially enclosing the second conductor and forming an outermost layer of the second winding part.

A dry type cast-coil transformer having a voltage rating of 1 Kv and above, including: at least one coil with a plurality of conductor turns; a cast comprising a polymeric resin, encompassing the coil and having a cast surface; a ferromagnetic core on which the coil with the encompassing cast is mounted; an insulated cable termination connected to the coil, wherein the connection point between the insulated cable termination and the coil is within the cast, and wherein a flexible portion of the insulated cable termination further extends from the cast surface outwards and comprises a plurality of metal wires.

A cooling arrangement for a dry-type transformer. The arrangement includes blowing equipment configured to blow a gas flow, and an opening positionable in a clamping structure of the transformer. The opening is configured to allow the gas flow to pass from the blowing equipment towards a winding of the transformer, so that the winding is properly cooled. The opening comprises an electric protecting means for dielectric protection of the clamping structure. A transformer including such cooling arrangement is also disclosed.

Cooling arrangement

A transformer may comprise a winding wrapped around a magnetic core, the winding having at least one winding portion extending between the magnetic core and the exterior of the winding in radial direction. The winding may comprise at least a first conductor and at least a second conductor, arranged radially adjacent to each other in each winding portion with the interposition of an insulating layer, wherein the first conductor is arranged radially inwardly with respect to the second conductor for part of each winding portion length, and radially outwardly with respect to the second conductor for another part of each winding portion length.

Transformers with alternately radially disposed first and second conductors

A dry-type electrical transformer includes a coil assembly having at least one winding wound into a plurality of concentric turns, at least one cooling sector defined between adjacent concentric turns, spacers positioned inside the cooling sector and spaced from each other to allow a plurality of air ducts each defined between two adjacent spacers, and at least one electrical shield positioned in the cooling sector and arranged to electrically shield the air ducts. At least one electrical shield is positioned in the cooling sector and arranged to electrically shield the air ducts. The electrical shield include a first end edge connected to the turn at the inner side of the cooling sector, a second end edge which is free and electrically insulated from the surrounding parts, and a central portion extending between the first and second end edges and is positioned at the outer side of the spacers.

Dry-type transformer and method of manufacturing a dry-type transformer

A single- or multi-phase dry-type transformer includes at least two coils. A barrier between phases made of an electrically insulating material is arranged in the intermediate space between the individual coils.

A coil and electric shielding arrangement for a dry-type transformer includes an electric shielding device arranged at a distance from a winding, at an axial end of the winding perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the transformer, and parallel to a top surface of a coil that is wound around the axis such that the electric shielding device covers a cross-sectional area of the winding perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. An insulation material attached to the winding and to the electric shielding device establishes a first distance between the winding and the electric shielding device along the longitudinal axis such that the winding is shielded against another electric field. The winding and the electric shielding device are casted in a block which insulates the electric shielding device from the electric field of the winding by establishing a second distance between the winding and the electric shielding device.

The disclosure relates to a transformer coil which can be cooled by a heat pipe and has a primary winding and a secondary winding and relates to a transformer which is formed from transformer coils which can be cooled in this way. The heat from the transformer coil is dissipated by the heat pipe. The evaporator of the heat pipe is arranged in the area of the windings and forms at least one extensive evaporator segment, which extends in the circumferential direction of the windings and along the winding axis of the transformer coil and in the process covers a multiplicity of the turns of the secondary winding.

Transformer coil and transformer with passive cooling

A transformer containing an electrical active part arranged in an insulating space and including primary and secondary winding wound around a magnetic core. and radially spaced apart from each other by a winding space having an insulation fluid. A block defines a compartment closed and separated from a remaining insulating space, the compartment being at least partially arranged within the winding space. The compartment contains an insulation fluid different from insulation fluid in the remaining insulating space, and having a higher dielectric breakdown field strength than the insulation fluid in the remaining insulating space.

Transformer

A method of manufacturing a transformer that includes forming a disc-wound coil using a plurality of pre-formed cooling ducts. Each cooling duct may be supported by a support pipe secured between walls of the cooling duct, or by a removable insert. First and second conductor layers are formed, each of which include plurality of disc windings arranged in an axial direction of the disc-wound coil. A spacer layer is formed between the first and second conductor layers to form a plurality of axially-extending passages. The cooling ducts are slid into the axially-extending passages so as to be disposed between the first and second conductor layers.
