Systems and methods provide a unified call log for user devices in a device group. A user device receives an invite message for an incoming call and stores first call log information including a caller identifier based on the invite message. The user device receives a status message indicating that another user device has answered the incoming call and stores second call log information including a timestamp for the status message. The user device receives a call information message for a new line between the user device and a device associated with the caller telephone number, determines that the new line is a handover call associated with the incoming call, and stores third call log information for the new line. The user device determines that the handover call on the new line is ended and generates a call log entry including information from the incoming call and the handover call.

System and method for unified call logs with support for call continuity

Techniques described herein may use presence information to enhance the user experience when contacting entities such as call centers. In one implementation, a method may include receiving presence information relating to a state of a voice line. The presence information may include a wait time associated with the voice line, the wait time corresponding to an estimated time that a caller to the voice line will wait before reaching a human operator. The method may also include providing, by the one or more devices and to a user device that includes the voice line in a contact list, the presence information for display as part of the contact list.

A phone docking station includes a docking port configured to physically dock with a mobile phone. The docking port further includes a charging port configured to connect with the docked mobile phone and to supply a charging current to a battery of the mobile phone, and a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. A method includes receiving, at a computing device, a call originally directed to a mobile device, and forwarding the call to at least one other device. The method further includes determining that the forwarded call is not answered by the at least one other device and forwarding two versions of the call to the mobile device, such that one of the two versions of the call is automatically directed toward a voicemail account associated with the mobile device. The other of the two versions of the call is then canceled.

A network mobility device registers with a switch in a telephone network, and receives a first message from a docking station indicating that a mobile device has undocked from the docking station. The docking station includes a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone that has a wired connection to a data network, and the mobile device includes a portable digital computing device. The network mobility device receives a call, destined for the mobile device, routed from the switch, and sends an alert message, based on the undocking of the mobile device and the received call, to the mobile device to notify a client of the mobile device of the call. Embodiments disclose a docking station that may include a transmitter to send an identifier associated with the docking station to a mobile device proximate to the docking station, and a receiver to receive settings from the mobile device. The settings may be based on the identifier associated with the docking station, and the settings specify at least one of a ring volume, a ringtone, or a list of contacts. The docking station may also include a processor to interpret the settings so that the docking station performs according to the settings.

Embodiments disclosed herein include a docking station for a mobile device, for example. The docking station may include a docking port configured to physically receive a mobile device and a receiver to receive a list of contacts from the mobile device. The docking station may also include a display to show the list of contacts, wherein each contact is associated with a sensor for receiving an input from a user for selecting the corresponding contact. The docking station may further include a transmitter to send a selection of one of the contacts in the list of contacts, as input by the user via the sensor corresponding to the selected contact, to the mobile device to initiate a telephone call with a device associated with the selected contact.
